Sweden’s Jerry “Perrymejsen” Odeen claimed victory in the WCOOP-34-M: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max] on PokerStars for $188,549 after making a three-way deal with “3DTemujiN” and Brazil’s Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski. The latest event in the 2021 World Championship of Online Poker attracted 614 players and generated a $1,228,000 prizepool that paid 79 players.

Kovalski’s third place finish added to a great week that also included a fifth place finish in WCOOP-34-H: $25,000 Super High Roller. Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis came into the table after surviving Day 2 with a late double and scored an early pot that brought him into contention before ultimately settling for a fifth place finish.

Final Table Results

Odeen spent the early part of the final table in the middle of the pack after starting the day third in chips. After “EDTemujin” and Kovalski took turns eliminating early bustouts Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro and Paulius "D3cor" Vaitiekunas, Odeen moved up the leaderboard with a big pot that put Konstantin "krakukra" Maslak on the brink of elimination. A few hands later Odeen eliminated Maslak in seventh with a pair of tens.

Odeen continued to chip into contention by busting Veldhuis in fifth place with ace-king and “zyxel888” in fourth with ace-ten. With three players left, a deal was cut between the final three players. Kovalski was soon felted in third and Odeen came back from a heads-up deficit to defeat “3DTemujiN” with a full house, tens over sevens.

The deal afforded Odeen an extra $10,000 for the victory after players divided the prize pool up based on their chip counts. Kovalski won $155,155 for third place and “EDTemujin” took home $144,772 for second place as the shorter stack when the deal was made.
