The PokerStars WCOOP-72-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] has its final table set after 5.5 hours of play on Day 3. The nine remaining players have all secured $33,638 but will all be looking for a bigger share of the whopping $3,552,500 prize pool as the winner will walk away with the first-place prize of $504,584.
The tournament attracted 7,105 entries before the start of Day 2 and at the end of Day 3 it's Thailands "1mSoWeeeaK" who will log off today knowing that they have the chip lead when the final table starts with 188,814,169 which is worth 94 big blinds when the final table starts. They are followed by Brazil's Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes with 132,293,151 in chips. Closing out the podium is "$harkFlo" from Germany with 81,720,936.
But they aren't the only Germans on the final table, "kirbyi17" and "ZAR84" will also be representing Germany in what is an otherwise very diverse selection of players from all over the world. Poland's Marcin "cladarth" Pszenniak, Russia's Yuri "Y.Zakharov" Zakharov, Honduras' Oscar "owilson25" Ramirez, and Romania;s "tzini9" are also still in to try and win a WCOOP title for themselves and their country.

Today's Action
When the day started, 80 players were back in the race but it would be Martin "Sochobi" Piven who would be first to go when he busted to Joao “joaovbarb” Barbosa. Igor "Garrin4e" Yaroshevskyy lost most of his stack at the end of Day 2 to come back as the shortest stack. He managed to pick up a pay jump before busting to "234241234214432".
Chris "ImDaNuts" Oliver chipped up at the start of the day but then went on a downwards spiral, in the end, he lost the rest to Henrique "Zanetti89" Zanetti when he check-shoved on the flop with pocket aces while Zanetti held the nut-flush draw and got there on the turn. Day 1 chip leader Guilherme "Guizãoo_" Carmo lost his whole stack in two hands, he first doubled Luiz "G1a1u1s1s" Arruda up and then lost the rest to "Strekoza85".
Things didn't go well for the Day 2 chip leader either throughout the day, they ended up finishing in 40th place when they got their kings into the ace-king of "FeelTh3Power" just before the second break of the day with "shusiu11" in the lead. But they couldn't keep hold of all those chips as they first doubled up "1mSoWeeeaK" and then lost the rest to the Day 3 chip leader too.
Evan "PURPLE"K"99" Parkes busted to "$harkFlo" with the latter also taking out Eduardo "SAFADA1" Fay next. Things sped up then as "FeelTh3Power", "Mythic Max", and "NVladislav" all busting before the final two tables were reached.
Saymon "Saymon9" Nascimento fell to Pszenniak while "ZAR84" took out fellow countryperson "quasselinho" and "Madmannn16" busted to Ramirez. 2019 Platinum Pass winner Barbosa was taken out by "1mSoWeeeaK" and so was "LVDJ444". "a Bull 67" doubled up before the break but then lost it all again to "tzini9" to get the tournament to the final table bubble.
Hand-for-hand play lasted around 15 minutes and in the final hand of level 49 in a three-way pot, "1mSoWeeeaK" check-shoved with the biggest stack when "Strekoza85" had continued with a bet and was called by "ZAR84". "Strekoza85" was the only one willing to put their final table appearance on the line with king-jack for top pair. "1mSoWeeeaK" had flopped two pair though so "Strekoza85" needed some help which didn't come.
Plan for the Final Day
When the players return, they will play Level 50 which features a small blind of 1,000,000, a big blind of 2,000,000, and a running ante of 250,000 and play will continue until the inaugural WCOOP champion of the Medium buy-in Main Event has been crowned.
