Also among the winners is none other than Fedor “CrownUpGuy” Holz who earned the title in 2014, followed by regulars of the international poker circuit such as Jonas “llJaYJaYll” Lauck and Steven “ SvZff” van Zadelhoff.

The defending champion is the UK's Fraser “BigBlindBets” Russell who defeated a field of 2,236 entries in 2019 and took home $1,665,962.04, the third-biggest winner prize in the history of the event.

Steven van Zadelhoff
Steven van Zadelhoff

For more than a decade, Steven "SvZff" van Zadelhoff has been a force to be reckoned with at the poker tables.

Originally from Holland, the Dutchman has been residing in Malta when not on the road or setting up shop for several months in his beloved Las Vegas during the World Series of Poker. Elected into the Dutch Poker Hall of Fame in 2017, Van Zadelhoff sports nearly $2.5 million in lifetime cashes according to The Hendon Mob including six-figure cashes in Malta, Spain, and the United States.

Under his "SvZff" moniker, he has racked up nearly $7 million in lifetime cashes on PokerStars alone according to PocketFives. He's currently ranked in 35th place in the world and once held the top spot in the rankings back in 2017.

"Netstorm" then three-bet to 25,600 and Philippe "takechip" D'Auteuil cold-called in the big blind. Colillas four-bet to 69,600 and was called only by D'Auteuil.

The French-Canadian was freerolling and nailed the {2-Hearts} turn to leave Colillas drawing dead on the first bullet, which made the {2-Diamonds} river a formality. The vacant seat was then filled by Josip "Jozinho6" Simunic, who had been eliminated on the first bullet before that, too.

Are These The Most Unstoppable Players in WCOOP History?

Nível 7 : 1,500/3,000, 375 ante

Just a couple of short years ago, only one player had accumulated five WCOOP titles.

Since then, the picture has changed quite a lot.

Two excellent MTT pros have now taken the lead, both with insane scores – one player has nine WCOOP titles, and another has eight.

With the WCOOP 2020 upon us, all could change again over the coming weeks, but it’s going to take nothing less than a legendary run if anyone is to join the top of the pack.

So as we look forward to the Series, here are the players who have won the most WCOOP titles so far. You’ll also find out who that five-time winner was.

Spragg Eliminated by "Andre_Hansen"

Nível 7 : 1,500/3,000, 375 ante
Spragg vs Andre_Hansen
Spragg vs Andre_Hansen

The action kicked off with a cutoff raise to 6,600 by "Andre_Hansen" and Ben "Spraggy" Spragg three-bet to 25,500 in the big blind, which the initial raiser from Ukraine called. On a flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}, Spragg already slowed down and checked, then called a bet of 18,315.

On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Spragg check-called another 34,500 with 85,218 behind and checked the {a-Hearts} on the river.

"Andre_Hansen" emptied the clip and moved in with the superior stack, which Spragg called after some consideration to get shown the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. That won the hand, as Spragg's {k-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the same pair and inferior kicker was no good.
