WCOOP-25-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, Super High Roller Sunday Slam]
Dia 2 Terminado
Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos has done something today which might not get repeated for a while. He has just taken down the PokerStars WCOOP-25-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, Super High Roller Sunday Slam] for $543,686 and his fourth title after winning WCOOP 28-H: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO, Freezeout, Sunday Cooldown SE] last night.
Mateos defeated Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz heads-up after they agreed to a deal. He now joins players like Andrey "Kroko-dill" Zaichenko, Dzmitry "Colisea" Urbanovich, Gleb "Ti0373" Tremzin, and Joao "Naza114" Vieira who each also have collected four titles. Mateos can boast of over $21 million in live tournament cashes and more online.
The tournament had a guaranteed prize pool of $2,500,000 but the event with the biggest buy-in of the series attracted 71 unique players and 35 reentries to create a total prize purse of $2,599,650 thanks to the 106 entries. Mateos needed to reenter as he failed to hit with his first bullet but got a nice return on investment on his second one.
Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves, Kahle "ROFLshove" Burns, "tzuzteutezu", Wiktor "Iimitless" Malinowski, Pauli "Fiilismies" Ayras, Artur "mararthur1" Martirosian, and Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen joined them on the final table.

* reflects heads-up deal
Thirteen players returned at the start of the day and in the first hand of the day, Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas was eliminated by Burns when he ran his nines into the aces of the latter. Only a few seconds later, Daris "DEX888" Pedes was dusted off by Malinowski when he got his chips in with top pair but saw he was up against the two pair of the Russian player and didn't get any help of the river.
Giorgios "Geokarak" Karakousis got short when he doubled Martirosian up and managed to stay alive for two more all-ins but then ran into the seven-deuce offsuit of Holz. Vyacheslav "VbV1990" Buldygin bubbled the final table when he four-bet shoved with tens and was looked up by Reeves who held the rockets.
Hunichen didn't get to spend much time on the final table as he ran his last 15 big blinds into the aces of Mateos. Martirosian then fell to "tzuzteutezu". Up to that point, everyone at the final table was responsible for reducing the field except for Ayras who was next to go thanks to Mateos after almost an hour of 7-handed play.
Just after the second break of the day, Malinowski called the shove of Burns with pocket sevens. And even though he flopped a set, Burns completed his straight draw on the river to get the field down to five. "tzuzteutezu" left the final table stage a few hands later for another 45 minutes of play to happen with the chips flying back and forth.
In the end, Mateos took care of Burns when the latter had flopped top pair and bet-called the shove to see Mateos with the blades. There was some talk of a deal but the three remaining players couldn't agree upon discussing it at the same time before Reeves was rushed out of the tournament in third place by Holz when his ace-jack couldn't connect to anything on the board.
Mateos broached the subject of a deal but got no response before winning the first hand of heads-up to get the stacks to almost even. Holz then asked if Mateos was interested in a deal before the tournament was paused and a deal was agreed upon. Mateos held a slight lead, increased it, lost it, and then grabbed it back before not letting it go anymore.
Holz managed to double up twice more before Mateos hit a flush to leave Holz behind with 12 big blinds. In the end, he shoved his last nine blinds in with king-nine while Mateos picked up one of the prettier hole cards combinations in poker, the ace-king. The ace on the flop and another one on the turn signaled the end of the tournament as Mateos cemented his spot in WCOOP history.
