Nível 50 : 350,000/700,000, 87,500 ante
PokerStars Sunday Million 15th Anniversary
PokerStars Sunday Million 15th Anniversary

Romania's "Transylvanian" will enter the third and final day of the Sunday Million 15th Anniversary at PokerStars with the chip lead with the field down to 65 entrants.

"Transylvanian" was at or near the top of the leaderboard most of the second half of Day 2 and will enter tomorrow's action with a chip leading stack of 66,800,871 for 84 big blinds.

The Sunday Million 15th Anniversary has been a massive success with 69,876 entrants generating a massive $13,975,200 prize pool to smash the $12.5 million guarantee.

This just makes it the second-biggest Sunday Million Anniversary event, only behind last year's Sunday Million 14th Anniversary event that witnessed 93,016 entrants generating a ginormous $18,603,200 prize pool.

Day 2 Recap

Day 2 began with 17,516 players battling it out in the hopes of at least a min-cash of $412 paid out to the top 9,971 players. This included thousands of players that late-registered or re-entered after Sunday's Day 1 concluded and before the start of Day 2.

The payouts were announced five minutes before the action began with about half the field or 9,971 entrants guaranteed at least a min-cash of $412 and more than $1.5 million to the winner.

The money bubble broke before the second break with Mongolia's "Seddari" hitting the rail empty-handed in 9,973rd place. After this, eliminations took place at a fast and furious pace until there were only 65 players to end the day.

Top Ten Chip Counts

While "Transylvanian" was the only player to advance with more than 60 million in chips, two others in Russia's "peu3ep" (55,658,388) and Bulgaria's "PanchoVetin" (52,596,824) will head into tomorrow's Day 3 with more than 50 million.

Also bringing top ten stacks into Day 3 are Netherlands' "ikkedus" (49,591,533), Russia's "Vvlankov" (49,248,898), Norway's "malinga" (48,951,775), Poland's "jelczan123" (48,907,238), Lebanon's "ha04444" (44,358,859), Austria's "Grozzorg" (42,206,753), and Belarus' "VladHunter21" (38,880,288).

Meanwhile, Vanessa "Niffller" Kade is just behind this group in 13th place with a stack of 35,482,077 with Thomas "tomnelz1" Nelz a few spots behind in 17th place with 28,167,959 in chips.

toni80-hai: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Transylvanian: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

"toni80-hai" was eliminated in 71st place for $10,767 after whiffing the {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board and "Transylvanian" extended their chip lead.

The {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} board didn't help "ccCuruca" get back into the hand and they were eliminated in 286th place for $3,458. Meanwhile, "marinas131" held the chip lead after the hand.

Reeves Takes the Lead

Nível 37 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves limped from the small blind and "Dowgh-Santos" opted to check from the big blind.

Reeves bet 60,000 on the {6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop and got a call. Reeves then bet 193,050 on the {3-Hearts} turn and was called again.

Reeves then bet 447,876 on the {2-Clubs} river and got a call once again. Reeves turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair which apparently was good enough as his opponent mucked their hand.

Reeves had over 8 million in chips after the hand to become the new chip leader.

"Fahrenheit95" Cracks Aces with Lucky Ladies for the Biggest Hand of the Sunday Million

Nível 35 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Just before the blinds increased, "Dabledore7" opened to 77,350 from middle position. "zeneto1968" three-bet big to 959,700 from the button before "Fahrenheit95" four-bet jammed from the big blind to 3,108,056.

"Dabledore7" folded and "zeneto1968" called off for their stack of 3,305,693.

zeneto1968: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Fahrenheit95: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

It was lucky ladies for "Fahrenheit95" after the {2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} board gave them a full house to effectively double-up and send "zeneto1968" to the rail on a bad beat.

PokerStars Sunday Million 15th Anniversary
PokerStars Sunday Million 15th Anniversary

Late registration is now closed just before the start of Day 2 with 69,876 entrants generating a $13,975,200 prize pool. A total of 17,516 players will start the day in the hopes of at least a min-cash of $412 paid out to the top 9,971 players.

A deal is the most likely course of events if history has anything to say about it as nine of the past ten Sunday Million Anniversary events have resulted in money being chopped up at the final table.

Tom "MajinBoob" Hayward Best Among the PokerStars Ambassadors

Mason Pye and Tom Hayward
Mason Pye and Tom Hayward

Nine PokerStars Ambassadors entered the Sunday Million 15th Anniversary on Day 1. Tom "MajinBoob" Hayward shined the brightest after running up his only bullet into 172,428 in chips for 86 big blinds heading into Day 2.

Lex "L.Veldhuis" Veldhuis (139,563) and Fintan "easywithaces" Hand (114,488) entered four times before advancing to Day 2, while Ben "Spraggy" Spragg (23,600) used three bullets to bring slightly more than a starting stack into Day 2.

Despite his short stack, Spragg did provide one of the more memorable moments on Day 1 live on his Twitch stream when he got paid with quad aces in a hand with aces versus kings.

Felix "xflixx" Schneiders (149,872) and Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas (85,772) were both able to make it through Day 1 without re-entering.

Meanwhile, Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban (three bullets), Mason "Pye_Face21" Pye (two bullets), and Georgina "GJReggie" James (one bullet) all entered yesterday but failed to make it to the end of the day. We may not have seen the last of this trio as they still have time to get back into the action before the start of Day 2.
