More High Rollers Arrive

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Stefan Schillhabel, who pre-bubbled the first €25,500 Single-Day High Roller two days ago and finished 9th, was the first of the next arrivals to take a seat. Only a few moments later the field size almost doubled with the arrival of John Juanda, Bryn Kenney, Sam Greenwood, Jean-Noel Thorel, Christoph Vogelsang and Steve O'Dwyer.

Petrangelo Empties the Clip

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Sergi Reixach in the small blind and Nick Petrangelo in the big blind both invested 3,500 each and headed to a flop of {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Reixach checked and called a bet of 4,000 by Petrangelo before doing so again on the {6-Spades} turn when Petrangelo made it 12,000 to go.

After the {Q-Clubs} river, Reixach checked the third street in a row and Petrangelo emptied the clip with a bet of 32,000. Reixach used one time bank extension and eventually tossed in a single chip for the call, prompting Petrangelo to instantly muck his cards.

Small Pots at the Start

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

While the usual High Rollers Quan Zhou, Daniel Dvoress and Adrian Mateos are still in a Side Event in the same room, the €25,500 High Roller has started with two tables.

In a limped pot to the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, Orpen Kisacikoglu bet 2,000 in the small blind and Sergi Reixach called in the big blind. The {9-Spades} fell on the turn and Kisacikoglu checked, Reixach bet 2,000 and that ended the hand right there.

Koray Aldemir opened to 2,400 first to act and Nick Petrangelo called out of the big blind. On the {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Petrangelo checked and called a bet worth 2,000 before the {A-Clubs} on the turn saw the American pro bet for 3,500. Aldemir double-checked his cards and sent them into the muck.

The Shot Clock Will be Back in Action Today

As of 12.30 p.m. local time and onwards, some of the biggest names in poker will be back at the tables in the Hilton Hotel in Prague for the second edition of the 2017 PokerStars Championship Prague €25,500 Single-Day High Roller. Two days ago, it was Albert Daher who cut a three-way deal with Ryan Riess and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau to take home the trophy and lion's share of the prize pool.

The event attracted a field of 50 entries in total and the top seven spots took home a portion of the €1,225,000 prize pool. While Day 3 of the €5,300 Main Event kicks off near the money bubble, the High Rollers will once again determine their best in the 30-minute level format with 30 second shot clock. All participants receive 100,000 in chips and a single re-entry is allowed during the registration period, which lasts for eight levels and the following break.
