Anthony Diotte Eliminated in 6th Place ($65,520)

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Anthony Diotte

Hand 3: Robin Luca Wozniczek found {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} under the gun and he made it 70,000 to go. Action folded around to big blind Anthony Diotte rather quickly and he shoved for 450,000 with {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. Wozniczek called just about right away.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}, just about settling it with Diotte down to 1% equity to win the hand.

The {A-Clubs} on the turn paired him but that wasn't going to be enough, he said his goodbyes as he was drawing dead. The {8-Clubs} on the river was inconsequential and there just to make things official.

The remaining 5 players are now guaranteed $88,480.

Hands #1-2: No Flops

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Hand 1: With a bust out from the blinds last night, there was no small blind. Big blind Harpreet Gill received a walk as everyone opted to fold. Gill showed {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and took it down uncontested.

Hand 2: From the cutoff, Timofeev raised to 70,000 holding {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}. This forced out everyone, including small blind Harpreet Gill who had {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Seat 1: Anthony "Otter8759" Diotte, 30, Windsor/Ontario, Canada, PokerStars player

Anthony Diotte
Anthony Diotte

Canadian player Anthony Diotte knows what it's like to win a tournament in Panama City. The 30-year-old pro from Windsor emerged victorious in the $5k High Roller held during the Latin American Poker Tour stop here three years ago, banking $62,895 for his victory. To date, Diotte has amassed more than $300k in total live cashes, with nearly half of that coming courtesy of a fourth-place finish in the 2015 WSOP $1,500 Extended Play event. Diotte's online results are solid, too. He plays as "Otter8759" on PokerStars, and his best online result is $144,565 for a fourth-place run in the 2013 SCOOP-02-H: $2,100 NL Hold'em. He's also two-time winner of The Big $162.

Seat 2: Robin Luca Wozniczek, 22, Saarbruecken/Germany, PokerStars qualifier

Robin Luca Wozniczek

So far, little is known about Robin Wozniczek, another product of the fertile German school of poker. A number of his country’s best players have found their fame on the PokerStars TV broadcasts over the past decade, and Wozniczek may well be another superstar in the making. He's the youngest player in the remaining field, having just celebrated his 22nd birthday on Day 3 of this event. Wozniczek hails from Saabruecken, the same hometown as Fedor Holz, who is arguably the biggest poker star of the last few years. Wozniczek won his PokerStars Championship Panama Main Event seat on PokerStars, and has already secured at least $35,920 for his efforts here this week.

Seat 3: Denis "NEWFlat" Timofeev, 29, Perm, Russia, PokerStars qualifier

Denis Timofeev
Denis Timofeev

Denis Timofeev’s first 15 minutes of fame came when he made the final table of the IPT7 Malta Main Event. The Russian pro, now 29 years old, finished in eighth place there, collecting €16,030. Since then, Timofeev has racked up significant results in multiple EPT side events. He banked €35,560 for a runner-up finish in the €1k at EPT12 Prague, then returned to Malta last October to seize his first silver spade. His win in the €2k side event was good for €64,600, his largest live result to date. Timofeev also scooped another €51,100 at EPT13 Prague, finishing second in the €5k Turbo. He'll crest $300k in live tournament winnings with this PokerStars Championship Panama result.

A fan of his hometown football club, Amkar, Timofeev has notched some hefty cashes on PokerStars, as well. Using the moniker "NEWFlat", he is one of Russia's top online MTT grinders, with results that include a six-figure Super Tuesday title and a third-place finish in a Sunday Million.

Seat 4: Jonathan Abdellatif, 32, Aalst, Belgium

Jonathan Abdellatif
Jonathan Abdellatif

Belgium’s Jonathan Abdelattif is a 32-year-old poker enthusiast from Aalst, a small city halfway between Ghent and the capital city of Brussels. He has more than $750k in career tournament earnings, an impressive number considering his record is so far lacking a six-figure cash.

Abdelattif’s best score to date is a 2009 victory in a €1k event in Austria for €50,350, and he’s posted results all over the world, including in South Africa, Morocco, Australia, and all across Europe. He added Panama to that list earlier in this Championship, too, finishing in fourth place in the $330 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event just a few days ago.

Harpreet Gill
Harpreet Gill

Harpreet Gill is a 40-year-old recreational poker player from Vancouver. He recently ran deep in back-to-back World Poker Tour Main Events in Montreal, finishing in 16th and 12th places, respectively. He has about $50k in total tournament earnings over the past two years, including results in Holland and The Bahamas in addition to his home country. He can add Panama to that list now, too, having maneuvered his way into this final table with just seven players standing between him and what would be his first live victory.

Seat 6: Kenneth "kenny05" Smaron, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, PokerStars player

Kenneth Smaron
Kenneth Smaron

Kenny Smaron, known as “kenny05” on PokerStars, is an online high-stakes Sit & Go legend. The 32-year-old pro from Philadelphia has been posting some serious results in multi-table tournaments, too. Smaron earned a SCOOP title two years ago, taking down the SCOOP-40-H: $2,100 NL Hold'em [Turbo, Zoom] event for more than $180k. He's notched two more six-figure online scores since, finishing second in a Sunday Million and third in another SCOOP event.

After Black Friday, the American grinder relocated from the United States and now splits his time between Costa Rica and Colombia. He's also made his mark on the live scene; Smaron won the EPT12 Prague €10k High Roller to bank €595k. That prize covers the better part of Smaron's live cashes, which have crossed the $1 million milestone with this result. A proud fan of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, Smaron has his team’s logo tattooed on his arm.
