The Second Flight of the $1,100 PCA National Starts at 6 p.m.

Welcome to the second and last flight of the $1,100 PCA National.

Last year, Maria Konnikova won the the PCA National, capturing her first ever title, after outlasting a field of 290 entrants. She took home $84,600 as well as a Platinum Pass.

With the first flight of this event having attracted 485 entries already alone, this event is expected have a big turnout.

When action gets underway in Day 1B, players will start with 20,000 in chips. Levels will be of 20 minutes. There will be a 15-minute break every four levels. Late registration will close at the start of Level 9. Each player can fire a maximum of two bullets in this event (including both flights). Play will continue until 15% of the field remains,

The survivors of both flights will combine tomorrow, on Friday January 11, at 12 p.m., to continue to battle it out until a winner is crowned.

Chanracy Khun Leads Day 1b of the $1,100 PCA National

Day 1b of the $1,100 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure National is in the books.

The second flight attracted 296 entries with 45 players remaining at the end of play. Both flights combined have attracted 812 entries, and 122 players made it through to Day 2.

Chino Rheem was the one to burst the bubble by eliminating Niculina Grasu when he turned a straight with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} against Grasu's {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} in an all in preflop situation.

Taking the honor of the chip lead for Day 1b is Chanracy Khun with 305,000 in chips. Khun has $904,134 in total live earnings and will be looking to add another title to his resume. Khun is followed closely by David Bokor with 293,000. Timo Kamphues rounds up the top three with a stack of 285,000.

Other notable players through to Day 2 include Team PokerStars Online Pro Randy Lew (202,000), Jack Salter (232,000), and Jack Sinclair (172,000), Marvin Rettenmaier (125,000), Joe McKeehen (103,000), and Ole Schemion (50,000)

As some notables bagged and cashed, many big names were not lucky enough to make it through, including Griffin Benger, Maria Lampropulos, Manig Loeser, Ben Yu, Kristen Bicknell, Christian Harder, and Mike Leah.

The 122 remaining players will return tomorrow, on Friday January 11, at 12 p.m. local time, to continue to battle it out until a winner is crowned.
