Negreanu Holds True to His Word

Daniel Negreanu opened to 18,000 from under the gun and was called by Nick Petrangelo in the cutoff and Jason Koon in the big blind. The flop came and Koon started with a check.

"I raised preflop, right?" Negreanu asked the dealer. "I guess that means I have to bet." He followed up with a bet of 15,000 and Petrangelo was the only one to call. "I think I'm going three streets with this one, Nicky."

The turn brought the and Negreanu fired out another 40,000 but Petrangelo still called. The river brought the and Negreanu moved all in after eyeing up Petrangelo's stack of 79,000.

"I don't think I'll sleep if I fold this one," Petrangelo said as he made the call. Negreanu flipped over for a set of threes while Petrangelo held for two pair.
