Simao's Bluff Doesn't Work Out

Nível 14 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Feature Table:

Chance Kornuth raised to 155,000 form the hijack with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Joao Simao defended fro the big blind holding {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}. The flop came {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and both players checked to the {2-Hearts} on the turn.

Simao led out for 235,000 with a ten-high flush draw and Kornuth made the call. The {5-Diamonds} on the river paired the board and Simao fired a second bullet of 275,000. Kornuth tanked for over a minute and then raised to 830,000. Simao quickly disposed of his ten-high and Kornuth raked in the pot.

Ramdin Doubles Through Kruk

Nível 14 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Outer Table:

With the board reading {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Christopher Kruk bet 300,000 from under the gun and Victor Ramdin check-raised all in for 1,570,000 in the big blind. Kruk asked for a count and then took a moment before making the call.

Ramdin flipped over {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Kruk was well behind with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Ramdin was blocking the majority of Kruk's outs and when the {2-Hearts} landed on the river, Ramdin secured a double up.

Ormsby Unable to Work the Short Stack

Nível 14 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
David Ormsby

Feature Table:

Kevin Hobbs opened to 150,000 from the hijack with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and David Ormsby shoved all in for his last 870,000 from the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Hobbs quickly made the call and was well out in front.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Hobbs was still out front with his pocket queens. The {2-Spades} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river were of no help to Ormsby as he was eliminated early in the day.

MacDonnell Shoves Into Aces

Nível 13 : 35,000/70,000, 70,000 ante
Marc MacDonnell

Outer Table:

Darren Elias opened to 150,000 from under the gun and Marc MacDonnel shoved all in for his last 555,000 directly to his left. Sean Winter was in the cutoff and min-raised to 960,000. The action folded back to Elias who mucked his hand as well.

Sean Winter: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Marc MacDonnell: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The board of {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades} missed MacDonnel completely and his chips were sent toward Winter.

Loeser Limp-Raises

Nível 13 : 35,000/70,000, 70,000 ante

Outer Table:

The action folded around to Manig Loeser in the small blind who just limped in. Victor Ramdin quickly raised it up to 190,000 from the big blind and the action was back on Loeser. He thought for a moment before pushing in a re-raise to 590,000. Ramdin looked back at his cards and then elected to send them to the muck.

Stacked Lineup Returns for Day 2 of partypoker MILLIONS North America $25,500 Super High Roller

Vikto Blom
Vikto Blom

It will be a who's who when the final 15 players return for Day 2 of the partypoker MILLIONS North America $25,500 Super High Roller. The action is slated to kick off at 12:00 PM EST at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada. An unfamiliar face at a live poker table is sitting near the top of the leaderboard in the name of Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom.

Blom is mostly known for playing in the nosebleed online cash games, winning or losing millions of dollars, but has made an appearance on the felt this week in Montreal. Blom made the final table of the $10,300 High Roller earlier in the series, and will now be looking to go back-to-back in the Super High Roller. The Swede currently sits second in chips with 6,755,000, not far behind Darren Elias who is leading once again with 8,815,000.

Some other names to keep an eye out for include Kevin Hobbs (4,450,000) who is also looking for his second cash of the festival, Sean Winter (3,800,000) who is a regular on the high-stakes tournament scene, and Niall Farrell (2,735,000) who will surely have a drink in his hand at some point today. With just seven players making the money, it will be a dash for the cash when the action gets underway. A min-cash will be worth $60,000 while the winner will be pocketing themselves a cool $325,000.

The blinds will continue on level 13 at 35,000/70,000 with a 70,000 button ante. The button ante seems to keep the action moving quickly so the pace of play should be rather fast. The blind levels will still be 40-minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every three levels. There will be a table redraw when the unofficial final table is reached at nine players. The PokerNews coverage will be in sync with the live stream on a 30-minute delay when the final table begins.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be here to bring you all of the live updates from the tournament floor.
