Ondrej Drozd & Viktor Blom Leading the Pack Into the Final Day of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany €5,300 Main Event

Nível 30 : 700,000/1,400,000, 1,400,000 ante

After 10 levels of play, 13 players have made it through to Day 4 of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany €5,300 Main Event. 91 players started the day at noon for Day 3 here at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov. The bust outs came in fast during the first levels of the day but at the end of the day Ondrej Drozd took the chip lead into the final day.

Drozd claimed the honor with 219,400,000 in chips after eliminating Andreas Walnum in a huge pot where Drozd shoved all in with queen-ten offsuit into the ace-king suited of Walnum. The pot was worth about 160 million and when the ten hit on the river, Drozd suddenly ended up with almost 200 million chips. Shortly after, he eliminated Ivo Donev in 15th place with ace-king against the ace-seven of Donev.

Second in the counts is Swedish superstar Viktor Blom with 118,700,000 in chips. Blom had a pretty good run in the last few levels of the day when he eliminated Robert Kokoska, Vlado Banicevic, Rostislav Stejskal, Philipp Gruissem, and Stefan Lehner. He will be hoping that it will continue into tomorrow. Third on the podium is Radoslaw Wesierski with 93,900,000 in chips. He lost a big hand when he just got moved to the feature table where he had to pay Yiannis Liperis a double-up for around 38 million.

An honorable mention needs to go to partypoker Ambassador Joao Simao (76,500,000) from Brazil. He has already had a great week here in the Czech Republic after reaching two final tables in the €25,000 Super High Rollers and finishing in second and fourth place. After missing out on winning those tables, he will be extra driven to take this one home with him. Another mention needs to go to Gianluca Speranza (88,200,000) who seems to do well here in Rozvadov. Only a few months ago he finished as the runner-up in the 2017 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event.

Adrian Mateos takes 12 big blinds with him into tomorrow and has some work to do. This is also the case for Neil Ryder although he must be sitting a bit more comfortably with 22 big blinds. Unfortunately, not everyone managed to make it through. Players like Jan Mach, Ludovic Geilich, Vladimir Burstein, Felipe Ramos, Niall Farrell, Jason Wheeler, partypoker Ambassador Patrick Leonard, partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Nottingham champion Maria Lampropulos, Martin Staszko, and partypoker Team online’s Josip Simunic.

The live stream feature table with hole cards will be broadcasted on the partypokertv Twitch channel with a security delay of 30 minutes and the PokerNews team will bring you all the action from the tables until a winner is crowned.

Vitalii Pankov

On the outer tables, Vitalii Pankov moved all in for 15 big blinds from late position and Yoann Vu-Van reshoved from the hijack. Robert Kokoska asked for a count on both, and once it was deemed to be for 23.9 for Yiann as bigger stack, he also announced all in from the cutoff to force everyone else out.

Vitalii Pankov: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Yoann Vu-Van: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Robert Kokoska: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The board of {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} saw Pankov eliminated in 18th place while Kokoska's stack was reduced to only five big blinds, Vu-Van almost tripled up.

Drozd Up to 100 Million After Dedusha's Cruel Exit

Nível 27 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Artan Dedusha
Artan Dedusha

The former feature table brought action right away in the new level with an open-shove by Artan Dedusha from under the gun, and he collected the blinds and button ante.

In the next hand, Ondrej Drozd raised to 1.8 million on the button and Dedusha moved all in from the big blind for some 10.5 million. Drozd called after just brief consideration.

Artan Dedusha: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Ondrej Drozd: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"Good luck," Viktor Blom said and Dedusha joked back "Yeah I think I will need it." The flop came {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Drozd picked up a flush draw. On the {5-Diamonds} turn nothing much changed, but the {Q-Hearts} on the river indeed completed a flush for Drozd to eliminate Dedusha.

Plesuv Takes Ramos Out

Nível 26 : 350,000/700,000, 700,000 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

Pavel Plesuv shoved all in from the button and Felipe Ramos was up for a decision from the big blind. He was going back and forth, trying to decide what to do. He even asked if he could get help from Adrian Mateos who was standing at his own table right next to Ramos' table. The table all laughed.

Ramos needed some time to consider all his options as he would be putting his tournament life at risk if he called. He even apologized to the table for taking more time to think. In the end, he called.

Felipe Ramos: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Pavel Plesuv: {Q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} - Plesuv hit a queen on the turn and Ramos didn't get any help from the river. The Brazilian was sent to the payout desk to collect his €20,000.

Mateos the Machine

Nível 24 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

If there is one player to watch out for despite starting a day with a short stack, it is Adrian Mateos. The Spaniard has already claimed three WSOP bracelets, an EPT Main Event title and High Roller trophies to his name, and started the day with a mere 15 big blinds. However, Mateos now appears to be near the top of the counts after just four hours of play on Day 3.

Mateos raised to 1.1 million and Christopher Andler three-bet all in for 7.9 million. Mateos asked for a count and called after brief consideration.

Christopher Andler: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The board of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} kept the better pocket pair in the lead to ship the pot to the Spaniard.

Shortly after Jason Wheeler was all in and at risk for around 7.6 million out of the small blind and Mateos looked him up from the big blind.

Jason Wheeler: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop gave Wheeler additional outs to double, but the {2-Spades} turn and {9-Hearts} river were both blanks to see Mateos bust a second player in quick succession.

Maini's Stack Now Belongs to Lijo

Vishal Maini
Vishal Maini

Vishal Maini raised from the hijack and picked up two callers in Lander Lijo on the button and team partypoker's Philipp Gruissem in the small blind. On the {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, Gruissem checked and just Lijo called the continuation bet of Maini. After the {4-Spades} turn, Maini overbet all in for around 11 million and Lijo snap-called.

Vishal Maini: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Lander Lijo: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The {4-Diamonds} river failed to improve Maini and instead gave Lijo a full house to reduce the field by one.
