Joao Simao leads the partypoker ambassadors into Day 2
In two hours from now as of 1 p.m. local time, the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS festival at the Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham will see at least 56 players out of a 93-entry strong field return to the tables for Day 2 of the £10,300 High Roller. The guarantee of £1m is all but reached, and the registration remains open for another two levels and break until approximately 2.45 p.m. local time and Niall Farrell is leading the survivors with a massive stack of 433,700.
Other big stacks and notables that made it through the final day of the tournament are Dominik Nitsche (391,450), Ben Heath (334,450), Jason Wheeler (307,025), Laszlo Bujtas (283,350), Javier Gomez (258,175), Jan-Eric Schwippert (257,000) and Thomas Muehloecker (238,950).
Those are just a few of the big names still in contention, and they are joined by four partypoker ambassadors: Joao Simao (224,400), Sam Trickett (200,000), Roberto Romanello (119,700) and Anatoly Filatov (80,650) are all still in it to take a shot at the seven-digit prize pool.
All new entries, Day 1 survivors and players that busted yesterday can take advantage of the single re-entry option per day and fire two bullets in the first two levels of today as the blinds are rolled back to level seven with 1,000-2,000 and a running ante of 200, providing 50 big blinds worth on the way to High Roller glory. Among those expected to join back in are [Removed:17], Adrian Mateos, Stephen Chidwick, David Peters and Rainer Kempe to name just a few.
The levels will remain 45 minutes throughout and the event is scheduled to crown a champion in the second-biggest buy-in of the festival at the home of poker in the United Kingdom. After a raise to 5,000 by Ema Zajmovic, Joao Simao three-bet to 13,000 from one seat over in the hijack. The action folded back to Zajmovic, who clicked it up to 37,000, and Simao moved all in. Zajmovic called all in for what appeared to be 208,000 and the cards were tabled.

On the flop, Zajmovic picked up some further outs with the gutshot. However, both the turn and the river were blanks and Zajmovic headed to the rail.
Chris Backhouse made it 6,500 to go from early position, Orpen Kisacikoglu reraised to 23,000 out of the blinds and Backhouse came back over the top for 46,500 total. Kisacikoglu made the call.
The flop came down , and Kisacikoglu opted for a check-minraise from 23,000 to 46.000. Backhouse called. Kisacikoglu bet 30,000 on the turn, leaving himself just shy of 80,000, and once again Backhouse called.
The rest went in on the river, and Kisacikoglu confidently turned over for the full house. The only problem was, Backhouse had made the bigger boat with , and the Turk was sent to the rail.
"The thing is, Chris has made quite a few four-bets today. Earlier he made quad aces, now he made aces over queens against queens over aces. Poker is hard", tablemate Alex Goulder joked while Backhouse stacked up his newly won chips. Backhouse is closing in on Joao Simao in the top of the standings.
Joining the action on the flop, Roberto Romanello checked out of the big blind and Filippo Lazzaretto bet 14,000, which Max Silver called on the button. Romanello called as well and checked again the turn. Lazzaretto then bet 26,500 from the hijack and again both opponents called.
The river completed the board and Romanello shoved for what looked like 60,000. Lazzaretto folded with ten big blinds behind and Silver snap-called for a reason. Romanello showed for the baby flush and Silver had for the nut flush.
Lazzaretto then busted right after to cause the second seat open in a row.
Alex Goulder just exited the tournament area after running into the of table mate Chris Backhouse. Backhouse opened to 15,000 from first position, Goulder jammed his 115,000 in from the big blind, and Backhouse instantly called.
The board ran out , and that was all she wrote for Goulder.
On a nearby table, Partypoker Pro Sam Trickett was eliminated as he shoved 147,400 in over the top of a 14,000 raise from Oliver Waters. Dominik Nitsche made the coldcall out of the cutoff, and Waters opted to fold what he later told was .
The of Trickett was in dire straits against the of Nitsche, and with a queen-high flop Trickett had one foot out the door. The board ran out , and Nitsche surpassed half a million chips yet again.
Since the 18 last players of this High Roller was gathered on two tables, the eliminations have been happening rapidly. Two seats are now empty, as Keith Johnson and Niall Farrell both had their tournament lives ended.
First off Johnson moved all-in for 245,500 from early position with and Vojtech Ruzicka made the call holding . The board ran out , and Johnson was our 15th place finisher.
Shortly after Niall Farrell was eliminated after getting it in with against the of Daniel Merrilees. The coinflip would not go the way of Farrell as the board read after the river, and Merrilees won a much needed pot to get him out of the danger zone.

On the outer table, Bartliomiej Machon raised to 50,000 from the cutoff and short stack Jan-Eric Schwippert called out of the big blind. The flop fell and Schwippert moved all in for 197,000, and Machon called. The feature table was still playing, but Govert Metaal limped and then folded to a raise by Jason Wheeler to let the showdown on the money bubble commence.

The turn and the river failed to improve Schwippert and he was crowned bubble boy, while all 11 remaining players have £20,000 locked up for their efforts.
Right after taking a big hit on the feature table, Joao Simao raised to 65,000 and Govert Metaal defended his big blind. On the flop, Metaal checked and Simao continued for 55,000 before the Dutchman check-raised all in for 310,000. Simao snap-called and the cards were turned over.

The turn and the river failed to improve Metaal and he was eliminated in 10th place for £20,000. After the next elimination, the remaining players will combine to the the unofficial final table.
Tom Hall came in for a raise to 60,000 from the cutoff, Oliver Waters moved all-in from the button for 331,500 and Bartlomiej Machon reshoved out of the big blind. Hall quickly got out of the way, and the hands were on their backs.

Waters needed help, but he didn't find any as the board ran out . Machon scooped the pot, and the remaining nine players made their way to the unofficial final table.
Jason Wheeler raised to 125,000 from the hijack and Vojtech Ruzicka moved all in from the small blind with his massive stack of 3.4m. Daniel Merrilees had 578,000 in the big blind and called all in, Wheeler quickly folded.
