Welcome Back to Day 2 of the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller

The players are set to return for Day 2 of the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller at the 2017 Caribbean Poker Party Festival. There will be at least 43 players making their way back to the felt led by Canadian poker pro, Francois Billard.

When Day 1 came to an end, it was Billard who bagged the chip lead with 3,899,000, nearly four times the initial starting stack. The Canadians had a strong first day at the poker tables with Daniel Dvoress (3,496,000) and Michael Watson (3,076,000) bagging the next two largest stacks respectively. Many partypoker sponsored pros took to the felt throughout the day but only one remained, two-time WSOP bracelet winner Kristen Bicknell (553,000).

The action is slated to resume at 12:00 P.M. local time at the beautiful Melia Caribe resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. For those unfortunate enough to fall short on Day 1, late registration will remain open until the beginning of level 13, approximately 4:30 P.M. Once registration closes, the prizepool information will be posted shortly thereafter. A total of 67 entries were registered on Day 1, meaning there will need to be at least 33 more today in order to reach the $1,000,000 guarantee.

The blinds will continue at 60-minute levels, resuming at 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 button ante. There are currently eight levels scheduled for the day, with the remaining players returning on Day 3 where a winner will be crowned.

Follow along with the PokerNews live reporting team for all of the up-to-date action throughout the day.

After busting in one of the last hands of the night on Day 1, Bryn Kenney showed up on time for Day 2 and has accumulated chips in the first few minutes. After arriving at the table, Kenney was all in with pocket threes against Pablo Joaquin Melogno Cabrera's {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The board ran out clean for Kenney and he even hit a three on the river to secure the pot and eliminate Cabrera.

Just a couple of hands later at the same table, Benjamin Pollak opened to 50,000 from under the gun and Mustapha Kanit three-bet to 210,000 in the big blind. Pollak called and the flop came {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}. Both players checked to the {7-Diamonds} on the turn and Kanit led out for 265,000. Pollak quickly called and the {3-Spades} completed the board. Kanit fired another 550,000 and Pollak instantly stuck in chips to call. Kanit tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} but Pollak flopped trip tens with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Frey Takes a Chunk from Hutter

Nível 9 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Martyn Frey opened to 45,000 from under the gun and Barry Hutter three-bet to 170,000 from the small blind. With the action back on Frey, he four-bet to 345,000 and Hutter made the call.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Hutter check-called a bet of 280,000 from Frey. Both players checked the {q-Hearts} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} paired the board on the river. Hutter led out for 675,000 and Frey thought for a moment before making the call. Frey turned over {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for two pair, and Hutter's cards went to the muck.

With around 300,000 in the pot already, the flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Steffen Sontheimer and Rainer Kempe were left to battle heads-up. Sontheimer checked to Kempe who bet 130,000. Sontheimer check-raised to 325,000 and Kempe made the call.

The {5-Hearts} landed on the turn and Sontheimer took his time before announcing all in for 686,000. Kempe instantly called and turned over {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for two pair. Sontheimer, however, turned the flush with {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. The river brought the {4-Hearts} and Sontheimer got a full double up at the hands of his fellow German counterpart.
