Team Germany vs. Team Canada: Schemion Beats Chen

Nível 1
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Ole Shcemion inquired about Chen's stack before the hand, and the Team Canada player answered he played around 10,000.

Schemion then opened for 650 from the button. Chen glanced at his cards, announced all in, and was beaten into the pot by Schemion who slammed his {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} on the table. Chen tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

The cameras buzzed, Schemion and Chen played around with their cards for a bit, and Schemion wished his opponetn "Bon Chance!"

"You folded a five?" Chen jokingly asked Ivan Soshnikov right next to him.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and George Danzer started singing "Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole!" from two tables over.

The {4-Clubs} on the turn made things exciting, but the {10-Hearts} on the river was a blank and Chen was eliminated.

Team Germany vs. Team Canada: Chen Doubles Through Schemion

Nível 1

On a flop of {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades} it was Andrew Chen betting out 800 from the big blind. Ole Schemion on the button made the call.

The {6-Clubs} fell on the turn and Chen shoved for 3,225. Schemion thought for quite some time, before eventually calling with a pained face.

Andrew Chen: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Ole Schemion: {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}

"I should have folded" Schemion said, but he had hopes pairing his eight on the river.

The {J-Hearts} hit and Chen doubled to just under 10,000.

Team Italy vs. Team Ukraine: Bendinelli Keeps Pounding (and Hitting)

Nível 1

Igor Yaroshevsky limped in from the button and Giuliano Bendinelli checked his option.

Bendinelli bet out 300 on {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Yaroshevsky made the call.

Team Italy bet another 700 on the {A-Clubs} turn, and again Team Ukraine called.

The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Bendinelli bet out 2,200. Yaroshevsky thought for some fifteen seconds before calling.

Bendinelli showed {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flopped two pair and rivered full house. Yaroshevsky sighed, showed the {7-Spades}, and mucked.

Team Italy now leads with 29,500 to Team Ukraine's 10,500.

Team France vs. Team Russia: Troyanovskiy Needs More Time

Nível 1

The board read {J-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} in a hand between Sylvain Loosli and Vladimir Troyanovskiy when the former bet 2,650 into a pot worth over 3,000 chips. Troyanovskiy went into the tank for a while and ended up calling for additional time.

As his additional time was about to expire as well Troyanovskiy put in the call.

Loosli showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a missed straight draw, and Troyanovskiy won the hand with {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for top pair.

Troyanovskiy takes the lead after this hand as he's up to 22,000 versus Loosli's 18,000-chip stack.

Team Italy vs. Team Ukraine: Bendinelli Puts the Pressure On

Nível 1

Giuliano Bendinelli opened for 375 and after a little bit of thinking, Igor Yaroshevsky three bet to 1,250. Bendinelli asked how much it was, and called.

Post flop, Yaroshevsky took a passive approach. He checked on {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and called the 1,500 bet from his Italian opponent.

The {4-Hearts} on the turn made Yaroshevsky check again. Once more, Team Italy bet out, this time for the som of 3,500. Yaroshevsky called.

With the {5-Hearts} on the river, this hand really blew up. Yaroshevsky checked and Bendinelli's timebank was down to 5 seconds before he announced allin.

Yaroshevsky thought for 15 seconds, and then asked for his first timebank. With 15 seconds left, and the extra one minute, Yaroshevsky couldn't come to a decision and his hand was declared dead. Bendinelli mucked silently.

Yaroshevsky has about 13,000 left, Bendinelli has the other 27,000.

Andrew Chen out of position bet 2,000 and Ole Schemion made the call from the button.

The river came the {6-Clubs} making for a four-flush board. Chen checked and Schemion bet 5,150.

Chen thought for some time and asked for a timebank. With about twenty seconds left, he eventually called.

Schemion showed him {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Chen mucked. Chen has about 6,500 left of the 20,000 he started with.
