Shankar Pillai made it 660,000 to go from under the gun and Krasimir Yankov called out of the big blind. On a flop, Yankov opted to check-call for 412,345 and the duo then checked the turn. On the river, Yankov bet 1,477,550 and Pillai folded.

One hand later Yankov limped the small blind and Pillai checked from the big blind. The flop was checked and Yankov's bet worth 387,500 was called. He checked the river and Pillai's bet of 1,050,000 secured the pot without showdown.

Pillai also won the next battle of the blinds against Alexandros Kolonias with superior two pair but four diamonds on the board kept the pot rather small.
