High Rollers Week at GGPoker

Welcome to the Day 1 coverage of the HRW 18: $10,300 Super MILLION$ Main Event at GGPoker. The tournament kicks off at 6 p.m. GMT and boasts a massive $5 million guaranteed prize pool.

The GGPoker High Rollers Week, which featured a huge $22 million in guaranteed prizes across 20 events, is on its last legs with the final four events kicking off today including today's big Main Event.

The tournament will be played eight-handed throughout Day 1 with the eventual final table slated as a nine-max affair.

Players will begin the action with a 100,000 starting stack, good for 200 big blinds to begin the day. Blind levels will be 15-minutes long and there will be a six-minute break every 55-minutes past the hour.

All players will have until Level 20 to jump late register with unlimited re-entries available. Day 1 has no timeline set but will end once the final table of nine players has been hit. The final table will then kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. GMT and play down to a winner.

Kyle Menard won the Super MILLION$ last week for $628,892 when the event guaranteed a $3 million guaranteed prize pool and is likely to be among the big names to enter today's action alongside GGPoker Ambassadors Fedor Holz and Felipe Ramos.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing all of the action as the day unfolds, so stay tuned!

Bad Beat for Vieira; Barer Extends Chip Lead

Nível 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Joao Vieira opened the button for 3,360. Amichai Barer jacked it up to 17,650 from the small blind. Vieira four-bet to 36,800 and called off for 76,585 after Barer five-bet.

Joao Vieira: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Amichai Barer: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Vieira was ahead when the chips were committed but it didn't stay that way for long as Barer paired up on the {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop. Neither the {8-Hearts} on the turn nor the {9-Hearts} on the river was able to provide Vieira a save to stay alive and hit the rail on a bad beat.

The day isn't over for Vieira as he re-entered for a fresh stack of 100,000 in chips after the hand.

Andersson Takes Chips Off O'Dwyer

Nível 10 : 1,400/2,800, 350 ante

Stephen O'Dwyer opened to 6,160 from early position and Brian Green called from one seat over. Joakim Andersson three-bet to 25,200 from the button. O'Dwyer called and Green folded.

Both players checked after the {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} came on the flop before O'Dwyer check-called a bet of 29,375 after the {2-Diamonds} came on the turn.

The {j-Diamonds} put four diamonds on the board and O'Dwyer checked again. Andersson bet 77,955 and O'Dwyer tanked before he called.

Andersson held {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for the nut flush, which was more than good enough to beat the set of jacks held by O'Dwyer with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

Green also showed that he folded {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} after the hand.

"Dipatos7" Sends Bilzerian and Molina to the Rail

Nível 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Just before the blinds increased, "Dipatos7" opened with a limp from the cutoff. Ignacio "IgnaPoker" Molina jammed for 56,130 from the button and Dan Bilzerian called from the big blind.

"Dipatos7" four-bet jammed and Bilzerian called off for 178,371 in total.

Ignacio "IgnaPoker" Molina: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Dan Bilzerian: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Dipatos7: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

"Dipatos7" was ahead preflop and took two players out after he further improved to a flush on the {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} board.

Neither Bilzerian nor Molina re-entered immediately after the hand, but they still have plenty of time to get back into the action if they so choose.

Holz Out Again

Nível 15 : 2,500/5,000, 600 ante

Julien "GiuseppeL" Perouse opened for 11,000 from middle position. Seth Davies called from one seat over before Fedor Holz squeezed for 60,218 from the button. Perouse tanked before he called and Davies folded.

Fedor Holz: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Julien "GiuseppeL" Perouse: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Perouse took a huge lead in the hand after hitting a set on the {4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop. Holz was drawing dead after he improved to a pair once the {q-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Perouse further improved to a full house after the {4-Spades} paired the board on the river and Holz hit the rail for the second time in this event.

Holz is hoping the third time is a charm as he got back into the action at a new table after the hand.

Holz Doubles with a Straight

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 750 ante

Fedor Holz opened the button for 12,600 and was called by David Miscikowski in the big blind.

Miscikowski check-called a bet of 10,035 after the {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} came on the flop before he check-called again after the {j-Diamonds} came on the turn.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Miscikowski checked once again. Holz jammed for 136,171 and Miscikowski snap-called.

Miscikowski turned over {j-Spades}{7-Spades} for two pair but this was no match to the straight held by Holz with {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Miscikowski had about eight big blinds after the hand but lost these chips as well when his {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} didn't hold against the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} held by Chris Rudolph.
