HRW 02: $10,300 Super MILLION$, $3M GTD Final Table

The first day of High Rollers Week action on GGPoker saw a total of 291 entries gathered for HRW 02: $10,300 Super MILLION$, $3M GTD. Once the dust had settled it was Kyle Menard sitting atop the leaderboard as just nine runners remain to battle it on Tuesday, November 10 for the $628,892 first-place prize.

Menard is just two months off his biggest cash on GGPoker in the WSOP Event 81: $1,050 NL Hold'em Bounty 6-Max. The Canadian is now in the driver's seat, holding the chip lead with a 5,922,652 stack as he looks to set a new personal best cash, but it won't come easy as the final table has some of the most talented players in world.

Two names that stand out, in particular, are Timothy Adams (3,435,784) and Stephen Chidwick (1,233,294). Both are known as two of the biggest high stakes crushers on the poker scene and will be putting the rest of the table to the test in a stress-filled setting that each seems to strive in.

Action of the Day

It was about halfway through the day before the action really started to pick-up and it was GGPoker Ambassador Fedor Holz finding himself as the benefactor, catapulting towards the top with a pair of sevens versus the big slick of Michael Addamo. The momentum and run good was short-lived though as Holz fell with a pair of cowboys against the ace-king of Shankar Pillai when a bullet landed on the river, sending Holz out the door.

The bubble popped at the end of level 28 when Philippe D'Auteuil sent two players cleaners. "xingg" put the rest of their chips in with queen-jack and Christian "CharlieD23" Jeppsson shoved over the top, holding ace-queen. D'Auteuil called both with his big slick and instantly flopped a king. The board ran out clean for D'Auteuil and all remaining players were then guaranteed at least a min-cash of $23,131.

The last round of play saw an average stack jump to the top of the food chain when Menard went on a hot-streak, winning almost every hand he played during the latter stages of the event. He started by doubling through Urmo "PidrPan" Velvelt and never slowed down, taking out Ottomar "Decent!" Ladva and Ravid "jerbi9999" Garbi shortly after, setting the final table of nine.

Tuesday, November 10 at 18:00 GMT will be the resume time of this event with the final nine players returning to dual it out. All players are guaranteed at least $63,553 for their efforts, with the top dog taking down $628,892.
