Andersson Chips Back Up

Blinds 150,000-300,000

Julian Stuer made it 690,000 to go in the hijack and chip leader Joakim Andersson filled up out of the big blind. They checked all the way to the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} river on which Andersson bet 2.4 million. Stuer called with {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} but Andersson had the nuts with {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

Chew Chips Up Against Andersson and Kulcsar

Blinds 150,000-300,000

Joakim Andersson made it 660,000 to go and was called only by Stevan "Steve Austin" Chew out of the big blind. Chew check-called bets worth 577,500 on the {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and 1,578,750 on the {9-Hearts} turn. The {7-Spades} river was checked and Chew earned the pot with {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} versus {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Chew then three-bet to 1.5 million when Gergely "Land on it!" Kulcsar min-raised, which won the pot without further resistance.

Taylor Paur Eliminated in 9th Place ($192,201

Taylor Paur
Taylor Paur

Blinds 150,000-300,000

Alex Foxen won the first and third hand of the final table after stealing the blinds and getting a three-bet jam through.

In the fourth hand, Joakim Andersson raised to 750,000 and Taylor Paur defended the big blind as the shortest stack. On the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop, both players checked. Paur also checked the {8-Spades} turn and Andersson bet 360,000, which Paur matched.

The {6-Hearts} fell on the river and Paur checked with 1,671,424 behind. Andersson bet 2,613,750 and Paur reluctantly called all-in.

Andersson rolled over the {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for the nut full house and Paur was eliminated in 9th place with the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Top Prize of $1.5 Million Up for Grabs on the Final Table of the GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H: $10,300

GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H Final Table
GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H Final Table

The 2021 GG Spring Festival will see the conclusion of one of the flagship tournaments today. Out of a massive field of 1,089 entries, only nine players remain in the GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H: $10,300 and will battle for the biggest slice of the $10,890,000 prize pool. They have $192,201 locked up for the efforts but all sights are set on the top prize of $1,537,605.

Best-positioned to claim the largest prize of the entire festival so far is a former Super MILLION$ champion in Joakim Andersson. The Vienna-based grinder returns with a meaty stack of 31,727,557, which represents 105 big blinds when the action resumes at 6 pm GMT. Second in chips is India's "level29" with 22,041,776 followed by Julian Stuer with a stack of 15,894,312.

A whole lot of notables made the cut as Roman "RRomashka" Emelyanov, Darrell Goh, Stevan "Steve Austin" Chew, Alex Foxen, Gergely "Land on it!" Kulcsar, and Taylor Paur will also return for their shot at glory.

The blinds will be rolled back to 150,000-300,000 with a running ante of 35,000, which ensures an average stack of at least 40 blinds for feature events on GGPoker. That will put bottom stack Paur on nine blinds while Kulcsar and Foxen have 19 and 20 big blinds respectively. Unlike all Day 1s and Day 2, the levels will now feature 20 hands each until a winner is crowned.

This event will also be streamed with cards-up coverage and commentary on a 30-minute delay on the GGPoker.tv Twitch channel. As a result, all PokerNews updates will also be published on a delay to not spoil any of the action. The posts will include all showdown hands while the live stream has all player holdings visible to the viewers.
