Nolet Jams Into "FlowTao"

[user38873]

Blinds 25,000/50,000

Guillaume Nolet's raise to 110,000 was called by "FlowTao" out of the small blind and that led to the {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Nolet's continuation bet of 160,000 was check-raised to 388,000 and the Canadian stuck around.

"FlowTao" bet the {9-Hearts} turn for 109,000 and Nolet moved all-in to force a reluctant fold.

"FlowTao" Doubles Through Rolle

Blinds 25,000-50,000

"FlowTao" min-raised to 100,000 in the cutoff and Benjamin Rolle three-bet jammed for 1.8 million out of the big blind. "FlowTao" snap-called for the 768,592 they had behind and the cards were revealed.

"FlowTao": {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Benjamin Rolle: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Rolle spiked a flush draw and back door straight outs on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. Some of those outs vanished on the {2-Clubs} turn and the {3-Spades} river kept "FlowTao" in contention, while Rolle dropped below a million.

Nemeth Jams Into Dzivielevski

[user38873]

Blinds 25,000-50,000

Andras Nemeth raised the cutoff to 105,000 and second-shortest stack Yuri Dzivielevski three-bet to 275,000 out of the small blind. Nemeth opted for the call as they headed to the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop.

Dzivielevski continued for just 100,000 into 648,000 and Nemeth immediately moved all-in with the far superior stack. Dzivielevski was sent into the tank and he used a decent portion of his available time bank.

Fox Takes From Rolle

[user38873]

Blinds 25,000-50,000

Benjamin Rolle made it 110,000 to go from an early position and was called only by Elio Fox in the cutoff. The duo checked through on the {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop and Rolle then bet 229,810 on the turn, which Fox called.

Rolle slowed down and checked the {j-Hearts} river, which prompted a bet of 425,000 into 802,620 by Fox. No call followed and the pot was shipped to Fox.

Eibinger Beats Fox in Showdown

[user38873]

Blinds 25,000-50,000

Elio Fox raised to 110,000 and picked up a call by Matthias Eibinger on the button. The duo opted to check down all the way to the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} river. Fox checked and then called a bet worth 188,651 by Eibinger.

The Austrian rolled over {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a flush and Fox's {a-Spades}{2-Spades} was no good.

Small Pots At the Start

[user38873]

Blinds 25,000/50,000

Elio Fox won the first hand on the final table in a battle of the blinds. He limped in and Andras Nemeth checked. On the {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, Fox check-called for 77,000 and that was about it. The {4-Clubs} turn and {2-Spades} river were checked and Fox prevailed with {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} versus {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Nemeth then stole the blinds, followed by Guillaume Nolet. Yuri Dzivielevski was also successful with an open-shove.

A Champion Will be Crowned in GG Spring Festival Event H-06: $25,500 Sunday Five Million

[user38873]
Andras Nemeth
Andras Nemeth

The 2021 GG Spring Festival officially kicked off yesterday and more than $15 million in guarantees sent the record-setting series off to a flying start. And on the second day of the festival, the first millionaire will be crowned unless a deal is cut in Event H-06: $25,500 Sunday Five Million. The lion's share of the $5 million guarantee is up for grabs and the tournament caused a minor overlay of just $50,000 as 198 entries emerged.

Only nine players remain in contention and a very familiar face of the international high-stakes poker scene sits atop the leaderboard. Andras Nemeth is the odds-on favorite with a massive stack of 5,972,752, as he holds more than his nearest followers Guillaume Nolet (2,557,181) and Francisco "VaPaCooler" Benitez (2,324,245) have combined at their disposal.

Not far behind is a trio of notables including Elio Fox (2,306,206), Benjamin Rolle (2,300,124), and Matthias Eibinger (1,813,000). Among the short stacks below 1 million in chips are Yuri Dzivielevski (975,172), FlowTao" (874,592), and Juan Pardo Dominguez (676,728).

Big Blinds based on the final table roll-back to ensure an average of at least 40 blinds

To secure an average stack of at least 40 big blinds, the blinds are slated to roll back to 25,000/50,000 with a running ante of 6,000. Unlike the structure for Day 1, each level for the remainder of the tournament will feature 20 hands until the winner has been crowned.

All finalists have $108,489 locked up and the winner is destined to earn a payday of $1,084,892. However, deals are permitted on this final table and thus the final amounts may be different.

Upon returning to their seats at 8.05 p.m. GMT, the nine finalists will draw for their seats in order of chip count from lowest to highest. Once that process is completed, the action will kick off and the PokerNews live reporting team will be there to provide all the key hands.
