Hands #1-5: Mattsson Shoves Twice; Wiesler Once

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #1: Simon Mattsson min-raised to 200,000 with {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds} from the hijack and Bjorn Wiesler moved all in for 3,275,000 chips with {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. Mattsson gave it some thought and then tossed the cards into the muck, not willing to go broke in the first hand.

Hand #2: Stephen Graner min-raised to 200,000 from the cutoff with {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and Fabio Sperling called out of the big blind with {7-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. On the flop of {6-Spades} {J-Hearts} {6-Clubs}, Sperling check-folded to a 150,000-continuation bet of Graner.

Hand #3: Jonathan Wong moved all in for 1,870,000 from early position with {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} and picked up the blinds and antes.

Hand #4: Stephen Graner raised to 200,000 with {J-Spades} {10-Spades} and Simon Mattsson found {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} in the big blind. The Swede moved all in and Graner folded quickly.

Hand #5: Bjorn Wiesler made it 200,000 to go with {8-Clubs} {7-Clubs} and Mattsson now picked up {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} in the small blind. The Swede moved all in again and Jonathan Wong looked down at {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades} in the big blind. The Brit faced a difficult decision and kept starting at the board and back at the opponent. Wong mucked and Wiesler asked for a count to work on his table image but also folded.

Remi Castaignon Eliminated in 7th Place (€129,390)

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Remi Castaignon - 6th place
Remi Castaignon - 6th place

Hand #6: Fabio Sperling limped from the hijack with {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} and Stephen Graner checked his option in the big blind with {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts}. On the {8-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {3-Spades} flop, Graner bet 125,000 and Sperling called to improve with the {10-Spades} turn. Graner checked, Sperling checked behind. The {6-Diamonds} saw no further action either and Sperling took down the pot.

Hand #7: Remi Castaignon moved all in for 810,000 from under the gun. Anton Bertilsson called in the hijack and all other players folded.

Castaignon: {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}
Bertilsson: {A-Spades} {10-Hearts}

Both players found some help on the {6-Spades} {10-Clubs} {J-Spades} flop, the {4-Spades} on the turn and the {9-Spades} river gave Bertilsson the nut flush and sent Castaignon to the rail for €129,390. This also ensures that a new EPT champion will be crowned, as Castaignon was the last former Main Event winner in the field.

Hands # 8-12: Wiesler Opens Light; Bertilsson Four-Bet Shoves

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #8: Action folded to Bjorn Wiesler who opened from the small blind to 290,000 with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Fabio Sperling in the big blind with {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades} let him have it.

Hand #9: Stephen Graner in the cut-off with {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} made it 200,000. Anton Bertilsson in the big blind thought about it, but gave up the {q-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Hand #10: Wiesler had {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} in the cut-off and raised to 210,000. Bertilsson in the small blind with {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} thought but mucked and big blind Simon Mattsson defended with {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

The flop was {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Mattsson checked and Wiesler continued for 115,000. Mattsson called to see the turn come the {j-Diamonds}. They both checked to see the river fall the {2-Diamonds}. Mattsson then took the betting lead with a bet of 245,000 and Wiesler mucked.

Hand #11: Graner was under the gun with {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and opened for 200,000. Wiesler next to him had {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and three-bet to 510,000. It folded round to Graner and the current chip leader let this one go.

Hand #12: Anton Bertilsson had {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} in the cut-off and raised to 200,000. Mattsson held {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} on the button and he three-bet to 475,000. The blinds folded and Bertilsson moved all in. Mattsson mucked his hand.

Hands #13-17: Top Pair for Mattsson

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #13: Anton Bertilsson raised to 200,000 from the hijack and Stephen Graner called from the small blind. Bjorn Wiesler three-bet to 710,000 out of the big blind with {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} and that got folds from both opponents. The German showed his pair of queens.

Hand #14: Graner min-raised to 200,000 from the button with {K-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} and Wiesler three-bet for the second time in a row, making it 625,000 to go from the small blind with {A-Hearts} {9-Spades}. Graner gave it some thought before four-betting to 1,125,000. This time, Wiesler mucked.

Hand #15: Wiesler raised to 205,000 from the button with {9-Clubs} {7-Spades} and Bertilsson called in the big blind with {7-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}. On the {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {3-Spades} flop, the Swede folded to a 175,000-continuation bet of Wiesler.

Hand #16: In the hijack seat, Graner raised to 200,000 with {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} and Simon Mattsson defended his big blind with {A-Spades} {J-Spades}. Mattsson check-called the {A-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {5-Clubs} flop for 150,000 and checked again on the {K-Clubs} turn. Graner checked behind and the {Q-Diamonds} river saw Mattsson grabbing some chips. The Swede bet 255,000 and was eventually paid off by Graner to claim a substantial pot com pared to his stack.

Hand #17: Graner min-raised to 200,000 with {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} and Wiesler called from one seat over with {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. The start-of-the-day chip leader found top pair on the {7-Spades} {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} flop and checked, Wiesler checked behind. The {2-Spades} turn triggered a bet of 235,000 by Graner and that won the pot.

Wiesler: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The final board showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} with Graner taking the lead on the flop and keeping it to the river to bust Wiesler.

Hands #20-24: Wong doubles Through Mattsson

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #20: Anton Bertilsson raised to 200,000 with {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #21: Jonathan Wong moved all in for 1,460,000 with {K-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} from the hijack. Bertilsson had the better hand with {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} in the big blind but mucked his cards.

Hand #22: Stephen Graner raised to 200,000 from the cutoff with {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds} and Simon Mattsson called in the big blind with {5-Spades} {5-Clubs}. On the {A-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Spades} flop, Mattsson check-called a bet of 150,000 and the {9-Spades} fell on the turn. Mattsson checked again and Graner fired 325,000, the Swede didn't go anywhere and tossed in the chips for a call.

The {Q-Hearts} on the river was checked through and Mattsson scooped the pot.

Hand #23: Fabio Sperling found {K-Hearts} {K-Spades} in the cutoff and raised to 215,000. Neither opponent was interested in calling and the German picked up the blinds and antes.

Hand #24: Simon Mattsson raised to 200,000 from the button and Wong moved all in for 1,530,000 from the small blind. The Swede tanked for a few minutes and then made the call.

Mattsson: {A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}
Wong: {K-Hearts} {10-Clubs}

The Brit was at risk with the worse hand, but improved on the {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {10-Diamonds} flop. The {2-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing and the {Q-Clubs} river let Wong double up.

Stephen Graner
Stephen Graner

Hand #25: Simon Mattsson opened to 200,000 with {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Fabio Sperling in the big blind called with {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The flop was {j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and both players checked to see the turn card come the {10-Diamonds}. It was checked again and the river was the {4-Clubs}. No bets and Mattsson took the pot.

Hand #26: Sperling in the small blind completed with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} Anton Bertilsson in the big blind with {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} raised to 275,000. Sperling called and the flop was {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and both players checked.

On the turn {7-Diamonds} Sperling bet 325,000 and Bertilsson made the call. The river was the {9-Clubs} and Sperling checked. Bertilsson then went for a bet of 425,000 and Sperling gave it some deep thought with his top pair before folding.

Hand #27: Stephen Graner opened to 200,000 with {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} from the cut-off and small blind Anton Bertilsson with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} made the call.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Graner bet 375,000 when it was checked to him. Bertilsson made the call to see a {j-Spades} on the turn. A further check from Bertilsson saw a bet of 1,100,000 from Graner. That got the job done and Bertilsson mucked his hand.

Hand #28: Graner made it 200,000 with {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Jonathan Wong called in the big blind with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The flop was {k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Wong checked. Graner bet 150,000 and Wong called to see the turn card {6-Hearts}.

Wong checked once more and so did Graner. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Wong led out for 450,000. Graner thought it through and called with the best hand.
