Lunkin Eliminated By Kovtunov

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

With the flop reading {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts} Vitaly Lunkin checked from the big blind. Glib Kovtunov did the same before Phillip Mighall bet out 20,000 from the cut off. With the option back on Lunkin, he moved all in for his remaining 110,500 in chips. Kovtunov then thought for a moment before announcing all in over the top for 261,500 in chips.

Mighall tanked for over a minute about his decision before finally opting to fold and tossing his cards into the muck.

Kovtunov: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Lunkin: {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Lunkin was in trouble with Kovtunov flopping top set of nines. The {7-Spades} and {j-Diamonds} ran out to complete the board and Lunkin was sent on his way.

That Annoying Schemion Guy

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

You remember when you just started out playing poker? The times where there was always that one guy at the table who just always showed you a bluff when you folded and always showed you the nuts when you called? That guy that was just ahead of you one little step, that annoying guy!

Well, in this event full of highly skilled poker players, Ole Schemion is exactly that guy.

Just now we saw Amir Mozaffarian check from the small blind on a {6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board. Ole Schemion in the big blind, hiding behind a 30-high wall full of 5,000 and 1,000 chips, had 77,500 in front of him and Mozaffarian with a total stack of 175,000 was thinking about it. He thought for quite a bit before eventually releasing his hand into the muck.

Schemion sighed, just like he did many times before, joking like he was happy his opponent folded. Just like that guy back when we started playing always used to do.

Schemion smiled and said "One time" before rolling over {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}for absolutely nothing.

Mandavia Doubles (With Some Help of Price)

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Joao Vieira opened to 16,000 from early position and Oliver Price limped the button for 8,000. That wasn't allowed of course, but Price hadn't seen the raise in front of him. He was forced to call the raise and Ankush Mandavia in the big blind gave it some thoughts. Mandavia made the call as well.

{K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Mandavia checked to Vieira who c-bet 23,000. Price instantly folded but Mandavia moved all in for 90,000 total just as quick. Vieira asked for a count, thought about it for a good two minutes, before eventually calling with {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Mandavia showed {K-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for top pair.

Both the turn and river were black cards, but no clubs: {8-Spades} and {4-Spades}. Double up for Mandavia!
