The flop read and the player in the small blind checked. Kevin MacPhee, under the gun, bet out 1,725. Alexander Kopylkov in the cutoff called, the small blind folded.
MacPhee bet out 3,500 on the turn and 8,200 on the river. Kopylkov called both times but had to muck after MacPhee showed .
The action started with the player in the cut off raising to 600. He was called by Ihar Soika on the button before Isaac Haxton bumped it up to 2,700 from the small blind. Both players called before the dealer produced the flop.
Haxton thought for half a minute before betting out 5,100 and was only called by the player in the cut off. When the fell on turn, Haxton took a little longer to slide out another 11,500 in chips. His opponent made the call before the completed the board.
Haxton reached for his chips and bet out 14,000 before his opponent splashed out a raise of 30,000 which had the PokerStars Team Pro covered.
For a few minutes Haxton looked puzzled, trying to contemplate what he was going to do. He sat back in his chair and shuffled chips in his hand, all whilest looking at the board and his opponent.
“I can’t really see how I can fold but I do believe you,” said Haxton.”Im feeling very trusty,” he added.
He picked up all his remaining chips in one hand and almost forced himself to call before tossing his cards into the muck instead.
“Show me the bluff! Show me the bluff,” he begged after the hand, as h watched his opponent muck his hand and rake in the pot.
Right before the break we walked up to Isaac Haxton's table, but the Team PokerStars Pro Online player just got up and left the tournament area. He might be back later, but he'll have to pony up another €10,000 to get back in the tournament.
Ankush Mandavia was busy stacking the chips. Upon request he told us that Haxton had opened from middle position to 700 and the cutoff had three bet to 1,500. From the small blind Mandavia had made it 5,100 with and Haxton had shoved for 14,200. The cutoff folded but Mandavia made the call.
Haxton had turned out to go to battle with but wouldn't win the showdown. Mandavia, who started a little late after a long night of online poker, already up to 65,000.
Joseph Cheong opened before the break to 800 and Ankush Mandavia on the button made the call. The small blind made the call as well and checked to Cheong on . Cheong made a bet of 1,500 and Mandavia folded right away.
The small blind check raised to 3,300 though. That wasn't the end of it as Cheong three bet to 8,000. The small blind made the call. Both players checked the on the turn and the popped up on the river. The small blind bet out 12,800 and Cheong folded to get to his 20-minute break.
We arrived at the table to see Josip Simunic bet out 2,700 from the big blind. Chris Hunichen then raised it up to 8,500 from under the gun plus one and was called moments later.
The on the turn saw Simunic check his option as the decision fell on Hunichen.
“Can I see your blues please,” asked Hunichen, wanting to know how many chips his opponent had in his stack.
Simunic cut out his chips to show Hunichen who used his new found knowledge to move all in for over 60,000 in chips. The bet had Simunic covered and took him by surprise.
“I don’t know how I can fold,” said Simunic, before calling for his tournament life.
Simunic:
Hunichen:
Simunic had made a great call with two pair but was up against Hunichen’s flush draw. The dealer then exposed the on the river to give Hunichen the flush and give him the winning hand.
Stefan Jedlicka opened under the gun to 1,000 and Benny Spindler three bet from the cutoff to 2,600. Alexandre Amiel on the button made it 4,900 and both blinds and Jedlicka folded. Spindler made the call.
Both players checked the flop and Spindler bet out 5,200 on the turn. Amiel made the call almost immediately. The completed the board and Spindler bet out 11,500 after some thinking. Amiel immediately called. Spindler mucked, Amiel did the same.
We didn't see how Newey lost the most of his chips, but were there for a smaller pot where he decided not to call all in.
On a board of it was Newey who bet out 1,500 from the big blind. His sole opponent, the one guy he probably needed to fold, was Olivier Busquet on the button. Last years €10,000 High Roller runner up made the call though.
The completed the board and with about 10,600 behind, Newey checked his option. Busquet threw in 20,000 to set Newey all in. This years €50,000 Super High Roller runner up instantly folded and decided to continue play with about 26 big blinds.
