Today sees the start of the second Mystery Bounty event here at the PokerStars European Poker Tour at the Hilton Prague. The €3,000 EPT Mystery Bounty is sure to attract a strong field of players who will all be looking for some big pulls from the bounty chest. Play today starts at 2 p.m. local time.

Last year saw Gab Yong Kim take home the title and €214,674 for his efforts. He also pulled €40,000 in bounties, which took his total earnings for the tournament to €254,674. He agreed a heads-up chop against Andrej Tekel who claimed €198,278, with €12,000 of his winnings coming via the bounty chest. Kim has already been seen in Prague this year and has made two cashes. He finished 73rd in the €1,100 Eureka Main Event for €7,220 and 128th in the €2,200 Eureka High Roller for €4,980.

Last year there were three top bounties worth €50,000 a piece. Iurii Senchylo, Mats Nylander and Jelle Moene were the lucky recipients. Ioannis Oikonomidis managed to scoop not just one, but both of the available €25,000 bounties. He scored a total of seven bounties for €59,000 as well as bagging €110,000 for third place, taking his total cash to €169,110.

The tournament this year promises to offer more of the same action. Blinds start at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Levels last 40 minutes with unlimited re-entries on Day 1, with late registration closing at the start of play tomorrow. €1,000 of the €3,000 buy in from each player will go into the bounty prize pool. Play is scheduled to last for 12 levels with 20-minute breaks scheduled for the end of Level 3 and Level 6. A 75-minute dinner break is scheduled at the end of Level 9.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for continued EPT coverage from here in the picturesque capital of Czechia.
