Julijan Rados, Andries Swart, and Barny Boatman went to a flop of 5♠7♠4♦ with 7500 in the pot.
It checked to Swart on the button, and he bet 3,500. Both players called. The K♣ on the turn did not slow down the action. Both players again checked to Swart, who bet 5,500. Boatman in the big blind called, and Rados in the hijack also called, going to a river card.
The A♠ on the river saw Swart bet 4,000 when checked to. Boatman then snap-shoved all in.
Rados thought it over before mucking his cards. Swart asked Boatman if he was bluffing, and Boatman replied, "Perhaps we're both bluffing." Swart mucked, and Boatman tabled Q♠6♥ for the bluff.
Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the 21st episode, Connor speaks with Survivor legend Boston Rob, aka Rob Mariano, about growing up near Fenway Park, learning poker at the age of 6, studying psychology at Boston University, applying for Survivor and winning Season 22, his recent appearance on Deal or No Deal Island and filming an upcoming season of The Traitors.
Boston Rob also revealed a story about Costa Rican authorities raiding a mansion known to host high-stakes poker games during a 2006 filming that included Daniel Negreanu, Josh Arieh, David Williams, Michael Mizrachi and actress Cheryl Hines.
"(Gambling mogul) Calvin (Ayre) had a big party at the house, and they came in guns drawn," he said. "And we were fine, but we all had to stay at the party until they checked our passports and everything. I think it was a little bit of a shakedown. But we had a good weekend."
Three players, including Barny Boatman who had defended his big blind, went to the flop. The flop came 8♦10♣Q♥, and Alexander Norden, who was under-the-gun, attempted to steal the pot for 3,200. Julijan Rados, on Norden's direct left, called. Seizing the opportunity, Boatman raised the pot to 12,200, and both players folded.
Jean Zagorski shoved for his last 17,000 on the button and was called by Igor Iarmoshuk in the small blind. Jakub Jech was in the big blind and called all in for 13,200.
Jakub Jech: A♦Q♣
Jean Zagorski: K♦3♦
Igor Iarmoshuk: 6♣6♦
Iarmoshuk could knock out two players in one hand, but the A♥7♥2♠ flop gave Jech the lead. Zagorski looked like he was heading for the exit after the 8♥ turn but the K♥ river saved him, although he remained short after Jech tripled through his opponents.
