Ponakovs and Boatman paired up on the A♥5♠4♥ flop, with the Latvian having the best of it for the time being. Ponakovs, with top pair and wheel draw, fired out 400,000 and was called, bringing in the 7♠ turn. Boatman picked up a straight draw of his own and called Ponakov's bet of 1,200,000.
The 5♥ river gave Boatman trip fives and the winner and halted any momentum that Ponakovs had since doubling up. Ponakovs fired out another 1,000,000 but found the correct fold after Boatman moved all in.
