It's time for the €10,300 High Roller held as part of the PokerStars European Poker Tour(EPT) Paris. Day 1 of the event is set to kick off today at 12:30 p.m. local time at Le Palais des Congres.
Online grinder Diogo Coelho took down this event back in the 2023 version here at EPT Paris where he beat Aleksandr Shevliakov heads up to claim the trophy and by far his largest first-place prize of €810,500. He topped a massive field of 431 runners, and this rendition will be hoping to top that number.

This is scheduled to be a three-day day tournament featuring 60-minute levels, and players will be allowed a single reentry. Play will start at 12:30 p.m. local time. Each entry will have a starting stack of 50,000. Late Registration will be open until the start of Day 2.
Players will receive four time bank cards when they take their seats, worth 30 seconds each. They will continue receiving more cards throughout the day.
Blinds start at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Players will play ten 60-minute levels on Day 1 with 20-minute breaks after Level 2 & Level 4. There will be a 75-minute dinner break after Level 6 at approximately 7:10 p.m. followed by a final 20-minute break after Level 8.

Action slowed down post flop as the 9♣4♦7♣ flop and 2♦ turn were checked through by both players.
On the 8♦ river, Kolev led out for 1,500 and Hulme made the quick fold.

Liangce Ni opened to 600 first-to-act and Adrian Mateos called from directly behind. Daniel Smiljkovic then squeezed to 3,500 from the small blind, which got a quick fold from Ni and a call from Mateos.
Mateos check-folded facing and 3,500 bet from Smiljkovic on the 10♠2♣Q♠ flop and Smiljkovic added to his stack.

Michel Leibgorin, fresh off his 5th place finish in the €2,200 FPS High Roller, opened to 600 in middle position and was faced with a three-bet to 2,100 by Markku Koplimaa in the next position. Leibgorin called.
Matters slowed down after that as the A♥Q♠K♠ flop was checked after Leibgorin checked in the dark. The 2♠ turn was also checked through.
On the Q♦ river, Leibgorin led out with a bet of 2,200 and that brought a fold from Koplimaa.

Roberto Romanello opened 400 on the button before Pavels Spirins three-bet 2,000 next to act. Romanello called.
The Q♥J♠7♦ flop hit the felt, and Spirins continued for 1,300. Romanello stuck around with a call.
The 2♠ fell on the turn, and Spirins fired another bet of 6,000. Romanello matched it once again.
When the 10♦ completed the board on the river, Romanello tossed in another shell of 16,000. Romanello thought about it for about 20 seconds before making the call.
Spirins rolled over A♥5♥ for ace-high, and Romanello dragged the pot with a pair of jacks as he showed J♥9♥.
