Unusual Situation Close to Bubble as Toyras Left With Single Chip

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

An interesting situation developed close to the bubble when Mirand Murseli raised preflop and Miika Toyras moved most of his chips into the middle for 82,000, leaving a single 5,000 chip behind.

Murseli made the call, but thought his opponent had moved all-in and so revealed his hand, AK prematurely.

Floor was called and ruled that the betting action stands and that the hand would continue. The flop came 5KJ to give Murseli a face-up top pair. Murseli bet for Toyras' last chip, sending Toyras deep into the tank.

"I have some outs," said Toyras as he deliberated how next to act.

"Fold! Fold, my friend!", said Murseli.

Eventually, time was called and Toyras was given 30-seconds to act. He timed out and his hand was folded, giving Murseli the pot. Toyras was left with less than one big blind, but with another chance to survive the bubble.

Mettoudi Takes Down a Big One as Bubble Approaches

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Thajhan Yogendran opened 17,000 in early position, and both Yaroslav Shkliar and Mike Mettoudi made the call.

The 962 flop hit the felt, and Mettoudi check-called a bet of 30,000 from Shkliar, while Yogendran mucked.

The 6 landed on the turn, and Mettoudi checked once more before facing a bet of 82,000. Mettoudi thought about it for a few moments and made the call.

When the K completed the board, Mettoudi checked for the final time, and Shkliar tanked for about two minutes before opting to check back. Mettoudi tabled J9, for top pair on the flop and Shkliar mucked his hand.

Stefan Dimitrov opened to 18,000 from middle position and called when Teodor Negrea three-bet to 52,000 from the button.

Dimitrov check-called for 48,000 on the Q52 flop before the 4 turn checked through to the A river. Dimitrov checked for a third time and then folded after Negrea bet 70,000.

Negrea let out a huge sigh of relief and tabled his K8. "That's a nice one," his tabled neighbor commented.

Mettoudi Doubles Near the Bubble

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Yaroslav Shkliar raised to 16,000 and Marius Gicovanu pushed all-in for 127,000 in the hijack. Mike Mettoudi called all-in on the button for 91,000 and Shkliar folded.

Mike Mettoudi: KK
Marius Gicovanu: AK

Mettoudi was initially upset to see one dreadful ace out there, but he had reason to celebrate when the board ran out 92254.

With now 169 players remaining, the Day 1e bubble is imminent and several tables have had the clock called on players stalling.

Gorelik Off to the Turbo Heat

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Albert Gorelik open-jammed for the last 44,000 and was called only by Jonathan Swerdlow.

"Do you have king-queen suited?" Gorelik asked and then rolled over his A9. Swerdlow had the superior AQ and left Gorelik in dire shape until the KJ210 turn.

"Give him the queen!" Gorelik exclaimed but the lucky chop never came, with the 10 river pairing the board.

"Good luck in the turbo heat," Isaac Borghouts joked.

Hallaert check-called bets of 16,000 and 43,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read J8K42. Hallaert, the slightly bigger stack, checked once more and quickly called when Saminadin jammed for around 200,000,

Saminadin could only show a pair of eights with his 87 and Hallaert had the winner with a set of fours as he tabled 44.

The hand after, Denis Vladimirov was all in and at risk to Pasquale Grimaldi. Vladimirov had pocket queens but ran into aces and was eliminated after failing to find his two-outer.

Karadaglis Out Before the Money

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Only around 170 players remain and Stylianos Karadaglis is no longer among them. After playing the hand carefully preflop, he got it in after the J107K turn with the AK and Yaroslav Shkliar looked him up with the J10 for two pair.

The river was the 5 and that spelled the end for Karadaglis.
