PokerStars has unveiled the full schedule for the 2024 European Poker Tour (EPT) season, which shows five destinations, including a return to EPT Paris and EPT Cyprus. Both Paris and Cyprus made their EPT debut in 2023, and they return for 2024, much to the delight of the players.
EPT Paris is the first stop of the 2024 European Poker Tour season. It takes place between February 14-25 at a new venue. The stunning Le Palais des Congres has a 120-table capacity, leading to a more extensive schedule for the festival. Cedric Billot, Associate Director for Live Events and Operations, believes the new-look EPT Paris could be one of the largest EPT festivals on record.

Nazar Buhaiov raised to 11,000 from the hijack, Beat Schlegel three-bet to 26,000 on the button and Buhaiov clicked it back to 50,000. Schlegel called.
Buhaiov continued for 30,000 on the Q♦10♣5♣ flop. Schlegel called.
The 2♣ turn slowed down Buhaiov and Schlegel took the lead for 70,000, leaving himself just 75,000 behind the line. Buhaiov thought for some time before moving all in for 135,000 and Schlegel went deep into the tank, eventually making the call.
Nazar Buhaiov: A♣6♣
Beat Schlegel: A♦5♠
At the sight of the showdown, Schlegel knew he was drawing dead and had already erupted from his seat, leaving the tournament floor before the river was dealt.
The dealer peeled the 4♦ and the pot was to be awarded to Buhaiov, however, under closer inspection Schlegel was the bigger of two stacks and was still alive with 10,000 behind the line. His stack has now been left to blind out.

Antonio Rutigliano was at risk before the flop for 46,000 against Alexandre Dana and both hands were tabled.
Antonio Rutigliano: 9♠9♦
Alexandre Dana: A♥10♣
The Q♥9♣4♦ flop gave Rutigliano a set of nines to leave Dana drawing thin. The J♠ turn gave Dana some hope though as he called for an eight on the river, but the 7♠ landed instead, sending the double up to Rutigliano.
