Bitar was on the right side of the cooler on the 3♥K♦8♠ flop and Frankland needed to spike an ace to survive. The K♣ turn was met with rapturous cheers and woops from the table and the 2♣ sealed Frankland's fate. He took the beat well and departed the tournament area.
The action was picked up preflop with Jovan Kenjic having placed 2,300 over the betting line from the small blind, and Juan Pardo having raised to 7,000 out of the big blind. Kenjic called and they headed to the flop.
Kenjic check-called a bet of 3,900 from Pardo on the K♠6♥Q♠ flop.
The two players checked the 3♦ turn for the Q♥ to fall on the river. Kenjic led out for 4,100 and was met by a raise to 32,500 by Pardo. Kenjic used two of his time-bank cards before he opted to fold, and Pardo won the pot.
Paul Newey opened to 700 from early position and Timur Margolin called on the button before Vladimir Korzinin three-bet to 2,300 out of the big blind. Newey folded, but Margolin called.
Korzinin led out for 2,500 after the dealer fanned out the flop of A♦A♥2♥. Margolin folded, and Korzinin pulled in the pot.
Eric Afriat kicked off the action with a raise to 800 on the button, and Santiago Nadal in the small blind responded with a three-bet to 1,700. Afriat wasn’t backing down and fired back with a four-bet to 5,800. Nadal had other plans, upping the pressure with a five-bet to 12,600, which Afriat called.
The action heated up even more on the 2♣7♣5♥ flop. Nadal led out with a bet of 6,500, and Afriat quickly raised it to 15,000. Without hesitation, Nadal shoved all in for his remaining 41,200.
After taking some time to think, Nadal ultimately folded. To Afriat's dismay, Nadal flashed Kx10x, revealing a bluff. Afriat, clearly frustrated, quickly covered Nadal's cards and questioned why he would reveal his hand.
Luke Marsh opened to 800 from the button. Duco Ten Haven raised to 2,400 from the button. Marsh called.
Ten Haven led for 3,600 on the flop of J♣4♥8♦. Marsh used most of his allotted 30 seconds before raising to 7,500. Ten Haven took a moment before folding.
On a flop of 4♥5♦J♥, Sven McDermott bet 2,200 from the button. Ghassan Bitar called from early position and Saleh Assi folded from the hijack.
After Bitar checked the 3♠ turn, McDermott bet 3,800 and Bitar called.
Bitar led out for 10,000 on the Q♣ river and after a bit of tanking, McDermott, called. Bitar showed A♦Q♦ for a rivered pair of queens which won him the pot.

Aliaksei Boika opened the action with a raise to 700 from the small blind after everyone folded to him. Mekan Yusupov, in the big blind, responded with a three-bet to 2,400, and Boika made the call.
The flop came down 5♥7♦6♥, and after a check from Boika, Yusupov continued with a 1,300 bet, which Boika called.
On the Q♦ turn, Boika checked again, and Yusupov bumped up the bet to 5,100. Boika, staying consistent, made the call once more.
Both players opted to check the 6♣ river, leading to a showdown.
Boika revealed Q♥J♦ for a pair of queens, prompting Yusupov to shake his head in disbelief. He almost mucked his cards but decided at the last second to show J♠J♣, clearly unhappy with how the hand turned out.
In the very next hand, the table folded around to Boika on the button, and he raised to 500. Both blinds called — Yusupov in the small blind and Simon Lofberg in the big.
The flop came 7♣9♠6♦, and after everyone checked, Boika led out with a 900 bet, which only Yusupov called.
Yusupov checked again on the K♥ turn, and Boika kept up the pressure with a 2,300 bet, getting another call from Yusupov.
Both players checked the J♥ river, bringing on a second showdown.
Yusupov showed A♠6♠ for a pair of sixes, but Boika’s Q♥9♥ for a pair of nines was good enough to take down the pot — Boika scooping up back-to-back wins.
