Igor Yaroshevskyy opened to 160,000 from middle position and was called by Antoine Labat and Jon Ander Vallinas from the button and the big blind.

The KJ6 flop checked through to the J turn. Yaroshevskyy fired for 150,000 and only Labat called.

Yaroshevskyy then sized down to 125,000 on the 10 river. After some thinking time, Labat raised to 1,050,000 and after a peak at his cards, Yaroshevskyy folded.

The 2023 edition of the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo festival runs from April 26 through May 6 at the luxurious Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. Igor Yaroshevskyy opened to 175,000 from the button before Matthias Lipp, three-bet to 715,000 from the small blind. Yaroshevskyy moved all in as the bigger stack and Lipp called off his remaining 320,000.

Lipp was dominated and found no help on the 1075 flop. His elimination was sealed on the 9 turn and the 8 completed the board.

Action folded to Mario Navarro, who raised from the button. Anton Kraous called in the big blind.

The flop came 382. Kraous checked and Navarro made the continuation bet, which Kraous called. The turn came the 7 and Kraous checked again. Navarro made it 250,000 and Kraous called.

The river came the 2. Kraous checked a third time and Navarro moved all in for 770,000. Kraous didn't tank too long before making the call.

The floor told players to keep their cards face down. Navarro was already stood up and gathering his belongings, aware of what was to come.

When cards were revealed, Navarro flipped over J10. He'd been running a triple barrel bluff. Kraous showed K3 for a pair of threes. He'd called all three streets with the best hand, picking off the bluff to send Navarro to the rail.

Players congratulated Kraous for his excellent call. Navarro was eliminated in 11th place for €16,000.

Crobu Doubles Through Labat

Andrea Crobu open shoved all in from early position for 555,000 and Antoine Labat got the count and made the call. Crobu was at risk as players flipped their cards.

Nicolas Julien opened to 494,000 from the hijack, leaving just 150,000 behind. Ignacio Sole Aparicio called from the button and the blinds folded.

"Can you fold flop?" asked Aparicio. "Depends on the flop," replied Julien.

With the pay jump at 11 remaining, Nicolas Julien went into the tank on the J109 flop. He eventually checked and his opponent put him all in.

After some moments passed, the tournament director then instructed Julien that he had 30 seconds to make a decision.

Julien called off his stack, and the cards were tabled.

The K2 runout saw Aparicio's pair of jacks remain best and Julien was eliminated.
