The PokerStars European Poker Tour Cyprus at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa continues today, October 18, with the $25,000 NL Hold'em IV at 2:00 p.m. local time.

Last week, Alexander Tkatschew won the first $25,000 NLHE Event ($432,090), and Paulius Plausinaitis took the $25,000 No Limit-Hold'em Event II ($264,690).

But in the last few days, the buy-in increased to $50,000 with the two-day $50,000 EPT Super High Roller event, won by Spain’s Juan Pardo, who took home $688,560*. Finally, his compatriot Adrian Mateos was crowned as the champion of $25,000 No Limit-Hold'em Event III yesterday, winning $157,946.

Scheduled at 12:30 p.m., this event was moved to 2 p.m. but the structure stays the same: starting stacks of 100,000 chips, and 30-minute levels. Those unfortunate enough to bust will be allowed to reenter for an unlimited amount of times, with registration closing at the end of Level 10 (approximately 8:45 p.m.). After that, 15% of the field will be in the money.

A shot clock will be implemented from the start of the event, with all players being given a total of six time bank chips, each worth 30 seconds. The players who are seated at the first hand of every odd level number (3, 5, 7, 9, etc) will receive one extra time bank.

There will be a 15-minute break every four levels, with an additional 75-minute dinner break at the end of Level 14.

PokerNews will be reporting live for the entirety of this $25,000 buy-in event as it plays down to a winner, so be sure to stick with the updates to keep up with all the action.
