At 12:30 pm. local time, the €25,000 EPT High Roller kicks of Day 2 with late registration or reentry still possible until that moment. The 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour presented by Monte-Carlo Casino®️ is coming to an end with two more days to play down but the action will be hot and heavy all day long. There were 160 entries collected on Day 1 and 69 of them made it nicely through to Day 2.
Sirzat Hissou is coming back with a big chip lead of 359,000 in chips which is worth 40 big blinds more than the 294,800 Troy Quenneville amassed on Day 1. Completing the top five at the start of the day are Orpen Kisacikoglu, Kent Staahle, and Steve O'Dwyer.
But as expected, there are still so many players left in the field that you'd see in any High Roller regularly. Rainer Kempe, Byron Kaverman, Cedric Schwaederle, Andrey Andreev, Erik Seidel, Jean-Noel Thorel, Fabian Quoss, Alexandros Kolonias, and Mike Watson are some of the players who have some work ahead of them as they can be found at the bottom of the chip counts.

Cedric Schwaederle was the first to fall today to the hands of Paul Newey and a few minutes later, the flop read on that same table with 7,200 in the middle.
Julian Thomas had checked in the small blind and Christopher Puetz had bet. Thomas responded with a raise to 9,000 for Peutz to use a time bank card before announcing he was all-in. Thomas asked for a count and the dealer confirmed the shove was for 47,500. Thomas slid a time bank card forward and eventually opted to fold.

Byron Kaverman raised to 3,200 from under the gun and was called by Gianluca Speranza from a couple of seats over and Juan Pardo on the button. The flop came and Kaverman checked to Speranza who bet 4,600. Pardo raised to 17,000 which got Kaverman to fold but Speranza called.
The turn was the and Speranza check-called a bet of 15,000 from Pardo. The hit the river which slowed the action as both players knuckled the table. Speranza flipped over for a set of three and Pardo conceded.

Yaman Nakdali raised to 3,200 from the hijack and both Alexandros Kolonias on the button and Pascal Lefrancois in the big blind made the calls.
The flop came , Lefrancois checked, Nakdali continued with a bet of 4,000. Kolonias folded but Lefrancois raised it up to 15,000 which Nakdali called.
The turn was the , Lefrancois barreled a bet of 27,000 out for Nakdali to call after using a time bank card.
The completed the board. Lefrancois utilized two time bank cards and then put a stack of chips in to put Nakdali all-in. Nakdali used a time bank card too before opting to fold in the end.
