With 21:53 left to go in Level 18, Day 1d play came to an end in the €1,100 Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event, which is a part of the PokerStars and Barcelona©Casino European Poker Tour.

The fourth flight of the tournament received 723 entries which, in addition to 812 from Day 1a, 358 in Day 1b, and 1,596 in Day 1c created a total of 3,489 entries. This year's version of the ESPT Main Event is threatening to surpass 2019's EPT Barcelona National's number of 4,682 entries with two flights left to play on Thursday.

In each flight, the field has been played down to the final 15% of all entries. The 108 remaining players tonight have created a new total of 523 runners who have qualified for Day 2 thus far.

Despite going deep into the night, there was plenty of high-flying action and big names in the field but only one could take home the chip lead: Tomasz Wrobel. Wrobel will sit down on Friday with a lovely advantage after bagging an impressive 686,000.

Joining Wrobel in the top-five are Ahmad Rehaime (638,000), Jose Valls Rebollar (468,000), Alessio Ianniciello (467,000), and Mohamed El Berrak (450,000).

Some notables who will be moving on to Day 2 with a comfortable stack include: Robin Ylitalo (408,000), Tamon Nakamura (327,000), Paul Tedeschi (312,000), Miltiadis Kyriakides (233,000), and Robert Mizrachi (220,000).

Felipe Ramos, Alejandro Lococo, Robert Schiffbauer, Manig Loeser, Kenny Hallaert, and Benny Glaser were all there for the action but failed to qualify for Day 2.

Players who have yet to qualify have two more flights to do so on Thursday, with Day 1e scheduled for noon local time with 30-minute turbo levels and Day 1f following at 6 p.m. in the evening, which will play with a 20-minute hyper-turbo format. One reentry is allowed per flight as players look to book their place in Friday's Day 2, where all qualified players are guaranteed to be in the money. Players will then have to battle through Day 2 and Saturday's Day 3 in order to take a shot at a six-figure cash and the ESPT Main Event title on Sunday.

Tsang Eliminated Six Spots from the Bubble, Lebaigue Nearing 400,000

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Chihao Tsang
Chihao Tsang

Florian Lebaigue and Chihao Tsang found themselves in an all-in battle with Tsang at risk.

Chihao Tsang: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Florian Lebaigue: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Lebaigue would strike gold on the {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Spades} flop, though Tsang still had backdoor straight and flush outs to go along with two possible kings.

The {3-Spades} turn gave Tsang much more hope as he was on the flush draw.

However, the {5-Clubs} river ended his dream just six places from qualifying for Day 2.

Lebaigue rejoiced with his newly-found chips after Tsang departed, claiming he has run bad all summer and that he's finally running good tonight.

Michalak Finishes Off Lococo

Nível 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

Three-time EPT champion Jakub Michalak opened from the button and Alejandro Lococo shoved his last 57,000 from the big blind. Michalak called.

Alejandro Lococo: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Jakub Michalak: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Lococo and Michalak were in another all-in battle together and the flop came {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, which actually made Lococo a 52% favorite with an overcard, a flush draw, and a straight draw against Michalak's pair of kings.

The {3-Clubs} turn put Michalak in front with a 68% chance to eliminate Lococo.

Indeed the odds would be in the Pole's favor as the {3-Diamonds} improved Michalak to a full house and eliminated Lococo.

Michalak "Slowrolls" to Win 180,000 Chip All In Pot vs. Lococo

Nível 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jakub Michalak
Jakub Michalak

Jakub Michalak, Alejandro Lococo, and Kamel Boukhalfa were all battling it out for a pot of around 80,000 when the board read {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Boukhalfa checked from the big blind and Michalak also checked from early position. Lococo, in the cutoff, put out a bet of 22,500, leaving roughly 82,000 behind.

While Boukhalfa quickly folded, Michalak went into the tank for about two-and-a-half minutes before going all in for 49,500 more. Lococo chuckled and raised his eyebrows upon hearing the news and did not call right away. After about 15 seconds, Lococo grabbed the extra 27,000 chips, about a third of his remaining stack, and turned over his cards.

Jakub Michalak: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Alejandro Lococo: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Michalak scooped a huge pot worth just under 200,000 chips.

After the hand, Lococo asked Michalak if he took his time for value. Michalak laughed and said "No, but it feels like a slowroll now."

Lie Nearly Quadruples Up in Peculiar Four-Way Action

Nível 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Aylar Lie
Aylar Lie

Arik Filstein was all in for 3,000 and Carlos Chang made it 6,000 from early position. Aylar Lie went all in for her last 13,000 from middle position and Khalid Kafi called from the hijack. Action moved back around to Chang, who called.

With four players, including two all in with a side pot, the flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Chang and Kafi both checked.

The turn brought the {k-Hearts} and Chang bet 12,000. Kafi called, creating a second side pot between the duo.

The river was the {a-Spades} and both players tapped the table and all four players put their cards on their backs.

Arik Filstein: {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Aylar Lie: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Carlos Chang: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Khalid Kafi: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Filstein and Lie would split the small main pot with each player making a straight, while Lie would scoop the first side pot and move up to 46,000 after beginning the hand with 13,000.

Chang would win the second side pot worth 24,000 against Kafi, with his two pair bettering Kafi's pair of aces.

Overall, Chang lost 1,000 chips in the hand while Kafi, though enjoying a healthy stack, took a 25,000-chip hit.

Alejandro Lococo

Matteo Baroni opened for 2,500 from under the gun and Alejandro Lococo called from middle position. Hernan Dario Villa Restrepo also called from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and action checked around. On the {j-Spades} turn, all three players tapped the table once more.

On the {5-Clubs} river, both Restrepo and Baroni quickly checked to Lococo, who thought about his decision for about 30 seconds before lifting his head and speaking to Baroni. Lococo told Baroni that Restrepo had made an action that made it obvious that he was going to fold and that he should have the same information.

After the dust settled, Lococo put out a bet of 16,000. After Restrepo folded, Baroni said that it didn't matter because he was going to fold to any bet.

Lococo has had great success building his stack in this flight and is now up over 200,000 in chips.

Alibas Not Able to Quintuple Up, Exits the Tournament

Nível 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Salim Alibas
Salim Alibas

Lucas Scafini opened from under the gun to 2,000 and was called by Haghgou Seyedahmad in early position, Salim Alibas (who was all in for his last 2,000), in the hijack, Gerald Eisele in the small blind, and Tomasz Wrobel in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and all four remaining players checked around.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Wrobel bet 5,000 and was only called by Scafini, creating a 10,000-chip side pot.

The river was the {5-Diamonds} to put four diamonds on the board. Wrobel checked over to Scafini, who bet 15,000. Wrobel scoffed and folded.

Scafini turned over {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines, meaning Alibas had a decent chance to quintuple up. Unfortunately, he had {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and was eliminated.

Wrobel, meanwhile, was visibly disappointed and when asked by another player if he had two pair, he nodded, accepting that he had folded the best hand.

Jaime Victoria De Lecea Tapia opened from under the gun to 600 and was called by Lior Shabtay in the cutoff, Wanja Alexandro Postel on the button, Giuseppe Zarbo in the small blind, and Juan Sabates Lopez in the big blind.

They went five ways to the {6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop and all five players would check.

On the {7-Spades} turn, Zarbo fired out a bet of 2,000 and was called by Lopez in the big blind. The other three opponents folded.

The river was the {8-Spades}, putting a backdoor spade flush on the board as well as a four-card straight. Both players quickly checked and Zarbo turned over {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair. Lopez acknowledged it was good and Zarbo continued to stack his chips to nearly two-and-a-half times the 30,000 starting stack.

Raffael Zarbo opened for 500 from early position and Mustapha Kanit called from the small blind.

The {j-Diamonds} turn put a second flush draw on the board, while a queen would make a straight. Both players tapped the table.

The {9-Diamonds} completed the backdoor diamond flush and also paired the board. Zarbo put out a bet of 3,000 and after about 30 seconds, Kanit called.

Zarbo turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a straight and Kanit swiftly mucked his cards.
