The first €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller kicks off today at 12:30 pm local time at the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague being held at King's Casino Prague. It will be a fast-paced day with some of the best in the business taking to the felt with a winner being crowned later tonight.

The high-roller scene at this year's series in Prague kicked off a couple of days ago with the €10,000 Mystery Bounty event and it was Rodrigo Seiji who captured the title, earning just over €100,000 including the three bounties that he scored at the end of the tournament.

Many familiar faces are expected to return to the action including runner-up Jorryt van Hoof, Adrian Mateos, Daniel Dvoress, Sam Greenwood, and runner-up from last year's event Juan Pardo. At the 2021 event, which was held in March of 2022, a total of 35 entries were recorded but that number could be topped this year.

Players will begin with 100,000 starting chips with the blinds kicking off at 500/1,000 and a 1,000 big blind ante. The levels will be 30 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every three or four levels. Late registration will remain open until after the dinner break which takes place after level 10. The tournament is designed with an unlimited re-entry option but something new to note at this event is the 15-second shot clock for preflop action and 30 seconds for each street after that.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates en route to crowning a champion later this evening.
