Dia 1 Começado
The 2019 PokerStars EPT Prague festival is in full stride and another day of fun is sure to ensue with the €2,200 EPT National High Roller set to kick off at 12:30 p.m. local time.
Last year’s edition of the event saw a massive 954 entries, greater than a 50 percent increase from the figure of 624 from 2017. Another big field is expected to show up to the Hilton Prague for the 2019 version as field sizes this year have been as large as expected. Last year’s champion Yaniv Peretz has been seen in the venue in 2019, having already taken a couple of shots at the €1,100 EPT National event that is still underway. He is likely to be a visible player inside the tournament room, defending his title from last year's victory that earned him €253,965.
Like last year, players will receive 30,000 in chips to start the day with blinds beginning at 100/100 and escalating until 15 percent of the field is reached, which will be both the time the tournament reaches the money as well as when play will end for the night. Levels last 40 minutes in length with 20-minute breaks after every three levels and a 75-minute dinner break after Level 8. Registration is also open until the end of Level 8, and players are allowed one reentry into the tournament should they find themselves out of chips.
