It’s time for Day 1 of the €10,300 EPT High Roller.
Earlier editions of No Limit Hold’em High Roller events throughout last week and a half have been claimed by the likes of Jean-Noel Thorel, Adrian Mateos, and Sam Greenwood, and the three of them are just a few of the players expected to turn up at the final High Roller event of the 2019 PokerStars EPT Prague festival.
Cards are set to get in the air at 12:30 p.m. local time with players receiving 50,000 in chips to start the day. Blinds will begin at 100/200 with an ante of 100 and hour-long levels. The second level of the day will also be 100/200 and will see a big-blind ante come into play at that point and remain a fixture for the duration of the tournament.
Day 1 will see 10 levels played to their completion with 20-minute breaks at the end of every two levels and a 75-minute dinner break at the end of Level 6. There will be a 30-second shot clock in play from the beginning of the event with six extensions granted to each player, and one reentry is available for anybody who is eliminated from the tournament. Registration will remain open all day long and will close at the start of Day 2.

Mateos Gives Up on the Turn

There was a raise to 500 from under the gun and Adrian Mateos re-raised to 1,800 on his left. The action folded back to the initial raiser who made the call.
The flop came 
and the action was checked to Mateos who continued for 3,000. His opponent called and the 
paired the board on the turn. This time, Mateos was faced with a bet of 2,800 and the Spaniard decided to let his hand go.

Ivarsson Shoves on Rezaei

There was a raise to 500 and Daniel Rezaei stuck in a three-bet from the hijack. Alexander Ivarsson four-bet to 5,200 from the small blind and Rezaei called. The flop came 
and Ivarsson led out for 4,000 which Rezaei called.
The 
paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the 
on the river. Ivarsson checked and Rezaei announced a bet of 13,000. Ivarsson check-raised all in and Rezaei quickly dumped his cards in the muck.

Chidwick Puts Heath in the Tank

With a completed board of 
spread across the felt, Stephen Chidwick and Ben Heath were heads-up in a pot. Chidwick checked from the big blind and Heath bet 5,100 into a pot of around 6,000 from the cutoff.
Chidwick responded with a check-raise to 16,000 and Heath went into the tank, having to use two of his time extensions. Heath eventually mucked his cards and Chidwick collected the pot.
