Another day is about to start at the 2019 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour (EPT) and at 1 p.m. local time the €330 EPT Cup. Only 27 players remain out of the 537 players that started in the event and they're all looking to take down the Cup in beautiful Monte-Carlo.
Vasyl Zabrodskyy bagged the chip lead on Day 1b. He managed to finish the day with 1,390,000 after starting the day with just 20,000 like everybody else. The player second in chips is Italian Giuseppe Caridi. Caridi bagged 1,120,000. and is second in chips overall since he bagged more than Day 1a chip leader Alexandre Moreau who bagged 995,000.
Levels will be 30 minutes long instead of the 20 minutes long they were on the starting flights. Players will start with a couple of minutes left in level 22 which has blinds 10,000/20,000 and a big blind ante of 20,000. The average stack is about 20 big blinds.
The payouts have yet to be announced as both of the remaining prize pools from the starting flights are combined and that will result in a nice first-place prize. All players do know that they are guaranteed to take home some money as 15% of the field cashed and they are the final 5%.
PokerNews will bring you all the updates on the tournament until a winner is crowned next to the Meditteranean sea.
