Nine Players Fight for the Title in the €25,000 EPT High Roller

Trophy
Trophy

There will be nine players returning to the felt to battle it out for the €25,000 EPT High Roller title. It's the final day of poker at the 2019 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo Casino EPT festival but there is still plenty of money up for grabs across the board.

Leading the final table is none other than Super High Roller champion Sergio Aido. The Spaniard had another impressive Day 2 at the felt and bagged up the chip lead with 1,095,000 chips. All nine players still have a shot at the title and things are pretty tight near the top of the leaderboard. Laszlo Bujtas (1,075,000) and Daniel Dvoress (1,015,000) are the other two players with a seven-figure chip count.

The action folded to Joao Vieira on the button who was on the short stack to begin the day. Vieira shoved all in for 210,000 only to have Sergio Aido re-shove all in from the small blind.

Sergio Aido: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Joao Vieira: {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Aido was in a dominating position and the flop of {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} gave him an even stronger lead. The {9-Diamonds} hit the turn and the {k-Clubs} landed on the river to send Vieira to the rail in ninth place.

Coin Flip Results in a Double for Addamo

Nível 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Marton Czuczor opened to 45,000 in the hijack and Daniel Dvoress flat-called from the cutoff. Michael Addamo three-bet jammed all in for 645,000 on the button and the blinds quickly folded along with Czuczor. Dvoress asked for a count and then made the call.

Michael Addamo: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Daniel Dvoress: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

It was a coin flip that saw Addamo stay in the lead on the {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. Dvoress picked up a flush draw on the {4-Spades} turn but the {q-Clubs} on the river bricked off, sending a double up to Addamo.

Daniel Dvoress moved all in for 215,000 from the hijack. Laslo Bujtas called in the small blind.

Daniel Dvoress: {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Laszlo Bujtas: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} giving Dvoress a one-way straight draw, as any jack would give Bujtas a full house. Luckily for the Canadian, the turn was the {6-Spades} completing the "good" end of the straight.

However, the river was the {j-Hearts} giving Bujtas a full house and eliminating Dvoress in brutal fashion.

Czuczor Continues to Slip

Nível 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Koray Aldemir opened to 50,000 in middle position and Marton Czuczor defended from the big blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Czuczor check-called a bet of 40,000 from Aldemir.

The turn brought the {a-Spades} and both players checked to the {6-Clubs} on the river. Czuczor slid in a bet of 150,000 and Aldemir used up a time bank before making the call. Czuczor showed {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} but Aldemir had the goods with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.
