Mustapha Kanit - PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final 2015 €50,000 Super High Roller Winner

During last year's EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo and new tournament was introduced, and it was very well received by the high rollers. Ever since the Single-Day High Rollers have been a feature at the EPT, and today it's time for the first ever edition of this event on the Bahamas.

The first edition of this event, in Monte Carlo, was won by Mustapha Kanit who finished fourth in the $100,000 Super High Roller last night. Kanit won $1,048,243 after beating a field of 66 entries and a final table that included Mike Watson, Martin Finger, Fedor Holz and Fabian Quoss.

During EPT Barcelona this tournament was scheduled with a €25,000 buy in, and Team PokerStars SportsStar Neymar and his friend and teammate Gerard Pique participated. Neymar grabbed an early chip lead, but in the end it was EPT champion Martin Finger who took the event down for $995,195. Finger, who finished third in the Monte Carlo edition of this tournament, beat Mark Teltscher heads up who also made the final table at the Grand Final.

The third, and most recent version, of this tournament was during EPT Prague. Germany's Rainer Kempe won the tournament for €591,722 after beating Jean-Noel Thorel heads up. This €25,000 buy-in event had 80 total entries and we're expecting to see a big field once again here today.

The Single Day High Rollers are extremely popular among professionals and recreational players alike, and PokerNews.com will bring you all the live updates throughout this event. Play starts at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time, so sit back, relax and enjoy about 15 hours of live coverage.
