We caught the tail end of a hand between Justin Bonomo and WPT Tournament of Champions winner Farid Yachou. Yachou later told us that Bonomo had opened the action and Yachou had called from the big blind.
Yachou check-raised Bonomo on and Bonomo called. The on the turn made Yachou bet 2,200 and again Bonomo called. Once the came on the river, Yachou checked. Bonomo tossed in a single 5,000-chip and Yachou called. Bonomo showed for the backdoor flush and Yachou mucked.
The next hand, action folded to James Akenhead on the button and he opened for 500. Yachou, now in the small blind, three-bet to 1,500 and Akenhead called, once the big blind had folded. Yachou checked on and called the 1,500 bet Akenhead made. Yachou checked once more on the -turn and saw Akenhead bet 3,000. Yachou check-raised to 8,000 and Akenhead folded right away.
