Winter Takes from Haxton

Nível 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

On the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, Sean Winter checked from the big blind and so did Isaac Haxton in the hijack. Max Silver bet 13,500 out of the cutoff and both of his opponents called. The {10-Spades} on the turn saw Winter check, Haxton bet 32,000 and Silver fold. Winter just called and checked again the {K-Diamonds} river.

Haxton pondered about his decision before tapping the table and mucked once Winter showed {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped set and turned full house.

"Nice Flop!"

Nível 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Vladimir Troyanovskiy
Vladimir Troyanovskiy

Ivan Luca was first to act and made it 5,800. He was called by Dan Shak in the hijack and Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the cutoff before action was on Mustapha Kanit on the button. The recent Sunday Million champ squeezed to 25,900 and the blinds, Luca and Shak all folded. Troyanovskiy made the call.

The flop came {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and Troyanovskiy check called a bet of 28,000. The Russian high roller check called another 58,000 on the {K-Diamonds} turn and the {A-Spades} completed the board. Troyanovskiy shoved all in and Kanit called instantly for his remaining 122,200, showing {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Troyanovskiy mucked his {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

"Nice flop!" Troyanovskiy said with a somewhat grumpy voice.

"Yeah, really nice flop" said the ever smiling Kanit while he stacked to a mountain of almost half a million in chips.

Greenwood Short Again

Nível 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

On the {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, Sam Greenwood checked in the big blind and Dan Smith announced a bet of 6,000 before tossing in a green T-25,000 chip. Greenwood made the call and both then checked the {Q-Hearts} turn. On the {9-Hearts} river, Greenwood led for 20,100 and Smith raised to 40,500.

Greenwood called before then mucking his cards once he was shown {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} by Smith.

Sammartino Enforces Fold from Chidwick

Nível 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Back to the drawing board for Stephen Chidwick. The entire hand lasted for several minutes with a pot of more than 150,000 chips having emerged to the {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades} river. Chidwick was in the small blind and led for 80,000 with 95,000 behind and Sammartino took his time before announcing all in with the superior stack.

Chidwick was sent into the think tank and let go a few minutes into the new level.

Winter Flops Another Set

Nível 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Towards the end of the previous level, Sean Winter flopped yet another set and was fortunate enough to see it getting paid off this time. In the previous confrontation, Isaac Haxton had checked behind but now he checked and then called a bet worth 60,000 by Winter on the {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Winter's {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} was good enough to win the pot and Haxton dropped below 100,000 in chips.

Greenwood Busts Nitsche

Nível 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Sam Greenwood was in shoving mode himself not too long ago, but now has found some new air to breath. He just knocked out Dominik Nitsche who was down to his last 60,000 when the chips went in. Greenwood had {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} on the button and bested Nitsche who had shoved from the small blind holding {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The board ran out {2-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Nitsche made his exit.

Raouf Getting Shorter

Nível 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

The true damage was done on the river of a {6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board with 100,000 in the middle already in a pot between Raouf and Kurganov. The latter checked, and Raouf led for 55,000. Kurganov shoved, putting Raouf to a decision for his tournament life, he folded.

Raouf looked clearly miffed, and now down well under the starting stack on his second bullet now, looks to be pressing as the second half of the day moves on.

Smith Wins Flip Against Reinkemeier

Nível 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Mikita Badziakouski is in charge of table two, at least in terms of chips, while Dan Smith's roller coaster just resulted in a coin flip against Tobias Reinkemeier. The German had opened to 7,000 and then faced a rather big three-bet before pushing all in. Smith called it off for 135,500 and they turned them over:

Smith: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Reinkemeier: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the pot was shipped to Smith.

Troyanovskiy Leaves Flabber Gasted

Nível 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Vladimir Troyanovskiy
Vladimir Troyanovskiy

We missed the precise action but witnessed the end of a hand where Vladimir Troyanovskiy would eventually hit the rail.

We got there on a flop of {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Dan Shak had two green 25,000 chips in front of him, acting from the small blind. Vladimir Troyanovskiy, acting out of the big blind, shoved all in for 121,900 and action was back on Shak. Shak tanked for a bit and eventually grabbed the calling chips, and moved them forward.

Troyanovskiy showed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and was far ahead as Shak tabled {5-Spades}{3-Spades}.

The Russian high roller wasn't celebrating yet, and in the end would have no reason to. In the contrary: the {A-Clubs} on the turn was a blank but the {4-Spades} on the river sure wasn't!

Troyanovskiy got up from the table, muttered several Russian words followed by "What the f*#k?", followed by more Russian words that didn't sound too positive either.

Not only Troyanovskiy was stunned, several players at the table could barely hold their laughs back as well. One of the masseuses even leaned a bit over the table to double check that what she thought she saw, was right.

Now that Troyanovskiy had left the area, Shak laughed with the table. "Don't write that" he said with a smile on his face. "Nothing, just a standard super high roller hand" Haralabos Voulgaris added. "People tried to tell me there was no value in these $100k's..." Juanda added to the banter.
