EPT12 Barcelona champ John Juanda, who was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame last month, is looking to follow up his eighth-place finish in the €50,000 Super High Roller yesterday with a run in the Main Event, which for him begins here on Day 1b.
In a recent hand, there was approximately 2,500 in the pot and a board reading 
when Germany's Anton Beno bet 1,100 from the under-the-gun position and Juanda, who was donning a medical mask and getting a massage, called from middle position.
When the completed the board on the river, Beno slowed down with a check but still called when Juanda bet 2,250. Juanda tabled the 
for top pair, and it was good as Beno sent his hand to the muck.

Jude Ainsworth opened for 350 from middle position and Andriy Lyubovetskiy called from the cutoff. Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker came along from the button, and then the Netherlands' Jans Arends three-bet to 1,850 from the big blind. Ainsworth folded, Lyubovetskiy called, and Moneymaker got out of the way to make it heads-up action to the 
flop. Arends checked, Lyubovetskiy bet 2,300, and Arends snap-folded.
It wasn't much of a hand, but it gave us an excuse to let you know Moneymaker is in the house!

Yann Dion plays loose and fast, which either results in him being one of the first out of the door or up there among the chip leaders. Sadly, for Dion fans at least, the former is true today.
Chang He raised to 500 in middle position, and Dion called in the cutoff. Younas Yousaf squeezed to 1,600 from the small blind, and both of his opponents called.
A 
flop saw Yousaf continue with a 2,500 bet, a call from He, then an all-in raise to 9,900 by Dion. Yousaf folded, but He called.

After Brazils' Douglas Pereira opened for a raise from middle position, Bulgaria's Yaron Zeev Malki three-bet to 1,600 from the hijack. The player in the cutoff then four-bet to 6,100, Pereira five-bet all in for 8,350 total, and action was back on Malki, who made the call.
The player in the cutoff came along as well, and then Malki shoved all in on the 
flop, which drove the player in the cutoff from the hand.

Malki was well out in front and just looking to dodge an ace and nine. That's just what he did to when the 
appeared on the turn followed by the on the river. With that, Pereira became the second player eliminated from Day 1b of the EPT12 Prague Main Event.

Denmark's Helge Pedersen raised to 350 from the hijack only to have Israel's Yossi Eluz three-bet to 950 from the button. The small blind folded, as did Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov in the big, and Pedersen called to see the 
flop.
Pedersen checked, Eluz bet 1,025, and Pedersen called before both players checked the 
turn. When the completed the board on the river, Pedersen checked for a third time and Eluz thought for a bit before betting 2,625. It proved to be the right amount as Pedersen released his hand.
Yann Dion opened for 300 from middle position and received a call from Frans Claesson on the button. The UK's Charles Chattha came along from the small blind, and three players took a flop of . Chattha checked, Dion continued for 600, and only Claesson called to see the turn. Dion slowed down with a check, and then snap-folded when Claesson bet 1,000.
Dion is off to a rough start here on Day 1b and is down to nearly a third of the starting stack.
