Thomas Muehloecker raised to 2,500 from the button and Igor Kurganov called from the big blind. The flop brought out {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Kurganov check-called 2,800 after which the {5-Spades} turn and the {6-Diamonds} river were checked down.

Luca Gets One From Vieira

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The board showed {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} on which Joao Vieira checked to Ivan Luca who bet 3,100 and the Portuguese pro made the call. The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and and Vieira check-called another 10,100.

On the river the {9-Diamonds} hit and this time both players checked. Vieira showed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Luca showed {J-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a rivered pair of nines that got him the win in this pot.

Two Hands With Zinno

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Anthony Zinno opened for 2,500 from the cutoff and Steve O'Dwyer on the button made the call. Zinno check called a bet on the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop, and check called another 6,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn and 16,000 on the {10-Spades} river. O'Dwyer showed {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} for not much of anything, Zinno tabled {9-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for the flopped straight and won the pot.

Two hands later Anthony Zinno opened for 2,200 from middle position. Ivan Luca on the button three bet to 6,000 and both blinds got out the way. Zinno made the call and checked on {10-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Luca checked behind and the {7-Spades} fell on the turn. Zinno checked again, and called the bet of 3,300 that Luca made. The river came the {2-Spades} and now Zinno lead out for 7,000 all of the sudden. Luca tossed in a single 5,000 chip to call, but soon had to add 2,000 as he couldn't beat Zinno's {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

Mateos Shoves on Chen

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The board showed {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} when we noticed that Andrew Chen was facing a bet from Spanish EPT Grand Final winner Adrian Mateos. Chen had checked to Mateos who threw out 25,000 and after a while the Canadian pro called.

The river completed the board with the {K-Spades} and Chen check-folded when Mateos shoved for 83,000 chips.

Mateos chipped up to 162,000 while Chen dropped down to 78,000.

Martin Finger Bluffs It All Off

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Martin Finger
Martin Finger

We missed the pre flop and flop action, but Davidi Kitai was kind enough to fill us in after the hand was over. Here's he said what happened.

Martin Finger opened from middle position and Davidi Kitai called from the hijack. One player in the blinds came along for the ride and the three of them saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. After it was checked to him, Finger made a continuation bet. Kitai called, the player in the blinds folded.

The {8-Hearts} on the turn made Finger bet 15,000. Again Kitai called and the {J-Clubs} fell on the river to complete the board. Martin Finger moved all in and Davidi Kitai snap called and showed {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the nut flush. Finger slid his cards into the muck but the dealer retrieved them and tabled them as {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. We're not a hundred percent sure the dealer got the right cards from the muck though, so there's a possibility Finger had something other than jack-three suited.

EPT Barcelona Single Day High Roller champion Martin Finger wasn't the first to go however, Master Classics of Poker champion Jussi Nevanlinna was the first one out today. We missed his exit. Both players still have the option to re enter before 5 pm (in 3 hours).
