Carrel Claims an Overpair

Nível 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Action folded to Charlie Carrel in the small blind and he raised to 1,400. His opponent in the big called, the flop came down {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Carrel continued for 1,700. His opponent called, but then snap-folded when Carrel bet 4,700 on the {J-Diamonds} turn.

"I had an overpair," Carrel claimed.

Meanwhile, Norway's Kent Roed has been eliminated from the tournament.

"I'm Trying to make Big Hands!"

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Max Silver just lost a hand against Jean Souprayenmestry, but he still has 72,000 chips at his disposal.

Silver completed the small blind before calling Souprayenmestry's raise to 1,000. Silver then check-called a 1,000 bet on the {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop and again on the {K-Hearts} turn, before both players checked on the {5-Diamonds} river.

Silver showed {8-}{7-} and Souprayenmestry the {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} to win.

"I could have made a straight," said Silver, "I'm trying to make big hands."

"Probably Happy I Didn't Snap Call, Huh?"

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Roberto Romanello, who won the EPT Prague Main Event back in Season 7, opened for 800 from middle position and received calls from Ari Engel and Dimitar Danchev on the button and in the big blind respectively.

The {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop saw Danchev check, Romanello continue for 1,100, and both his opponents call to see the {4-Clubs} turn. Two checks saw Engel bet 4,000, Danchev folded, and Romanello paused for a few beats before check-raising all in.

"Probably happy I didn't snap-call, huh?" Engel, who only had 10,550 back, said after thinking about it for 20 seconds. Another minute or so passed before he called off and discovered the bad news.

Engel: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Romanello: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Engel got it in bad, but he was saved when the {9-Spades} spiked on the river to give him a winning straight!

"The Perfect Bluff Catcher"

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Oleh Okhotskyi was in early position and raised to 900 before calling a three-bet to 2,500 from Charlie Carrel in the next seat along. Okhotskyi checked the {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{k-Spades} flop and Carrel checked behind.

Okhotskyi checked the {7-Clubs}, but called when Carrel bet 5,000. There was similar action on the {K-Clubs} river, except Carrel's bet was 5,800 this time.

Carrel turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Okhotskyi the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

"A great bluff catcher," said one of the players at the table,

"The perfect bluff catcher," replied Carrel.

Wheeler Flushes Radzivonau

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

We didn't pick up the action until the river with 50,000 already in the pot and a board reading {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Jason Wheeler, who was in the middle of getting a massage, moved all in for his last 21,000 and Kiryl Radzivonau, who only had 16,500 back, hit the tank.

Nearly 90 seconds passed before he flung in a call with the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} for a rivered set. Unfortunately for him, it was no good as Wheeler held the nuts with the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Deadman Walking

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Simon Deadman's run in the High Roller has ended at the hands of Tamer Kamel.

We caught Kamel calling Deadman's all-in bet on the river of the {2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} board and showing {K-Hearts}{7-}, beating Deadman's {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Deadman can re-enter up to the start of the first level on Day 2 if he wishes.
