Igor Kurganov and Thomas Muehloecker have battled with each other during many high roller tournaments and have clashed again today, with both coming away from the confrontation unscathed.
Kurganov raised to 1,200 from under the gun, one player folded and Muehloecker three-bet to 3,600. The action passed back around to Kurganov, who four-bet to 9,600 and was called.
Despite the exciting preflop action, both players checked down the board and chopped the pot thanks to Muehloecker holding and Kurganov .
Kenneth Smaron was on the button and he opened the betting with a raise to 1,050. The small blind folded, but John Juanda reraised to 4,000 from the big blind. Smaron called.
Juanda led for 4,500 on the flop and was called. Both players then checked the turn and the river, Juanda turning over the and losing to his opponent's that had improved to the best hand on the river.
Everyone folded around to Christopher Brammer in the hijack and he came in for a raise, a raise that was three-bet to 3,000 by Pierre Neuville on the button. Brammer four-bet to 6,500 and his Belgian opponent called.
Brammer came out firing on the flop and made it 5,000 to continue. Neuville went into the tank for more than a minute before emerging with a fold.
Rainer Kempe is having to sit out two hands after being handed a penalty by the floor staff.
Kempe apparently left the table before it was his turn to act in order to answer his phone, which was deemed to be acting out of turn. Although Kempe protested his innocence, a two hand penalty was awarded.
