On the turn, Vicente Delgado checked in the big blind and Ricardo Alvarado bet 2,200. Delgado called and checked again the river, prompting Alvarado to bet 5,800. Delgado called once more and then mucked when he was shown the by his opponent.
The tournament clock now shows 63 entries and among the latest additions to the field were PokerStars Team Pro Theo Jorgensen as well as Jason Wheeler, who final-tabled the €25,000 and the €10,000 Single-Day High Roller events on back-to-back days here on Malta.
After winning a seat in through the €500 + €50 One Rebuy/One Add on Super Satellite Wednesday, Lily Kiletto just took it, recognizing Joao Vieira from her table last night and another player from back home in the United States.
"There's two of my nemeses at this table," she said. "Joao from last night and Jonathan Little from every tournament ever."
Considering Little has $6,248,881 in career tournament earnings, there's bound to be more than one player who feels the same way. These two are both from Florida, however, with Little fourth on the all-time money list in that state and Kiletto 105th.
Little is obviously here looking to book a big score in the last big event on the EPT12 Malta schedule and says he's actually headed back to his home state and the City of Jacksonville next to play a WPT event.
Kiletto, is skipping though, said she will actually be heading to Thailand the first time since she was a kid for a vacation, but will be looking to make it a memorable one by getting in for a discount here and cashing big first.
Arriving at the table on the turn with around 13,800 chips in the pot, Lily Kiletto bet 11,000 and Sergey Sergeev moved all in for 43,150. "So this is your first hand and you try to get it in?" Kiletto said. Some table talk followed and Sergeev "admitted" that he is afraid to play against women, which made Ben Wilinofsky and JC Alvarado chuckle.
Ultimately, Kiletto was trying to make up her mind and said "I don't believe you have queen-ten, I think you have ace-ten, the ." Kiletto called about one minute later and sure enough Sergeey turned over the for the straight. Kiletto was not drawing dead yet with , but the river was a blank and Kiletto was left with 325 chips only.
Those vanished shortly after, making her the first casualty of the tournament in level one.
Ivan Luca busted from the Main Event on Day 4 and immediately signed up for the High Roller tournament along with a few other notables that have been spotted.
PokerStars Team Online member Isaac Haxton and Anthony Zinno see the turn of a board and Zinno checked out of the small blind. Haxton checked behind from the cutoff and the fell on the river. Zinno bet 3,000 into a pot of 4,000 and Haxton took his time before raising to 15,500, prompting a fold from Zinno.
After her bustout in level one, Lily Kiletto has bought in again and the field size since shows 77 entrants. The 100 mark will most likely be cracked today and registration and single re-entry option remains available until 12:15 tomorrow.
David "MissOracle" Yan has a double stack. According to the Online grinder, there was an open raise to 600 and two callers before Yan three-bet to 2,900 from the small blind. All three opponents called and the flop brought . Yan fired 5,200 and got called by one opponent before making it 11,050 on the turn. Again the opponent called and a blank river resulted in the all in of "MissOracle" with pocket kings.
His opponent called with pocket eights for the inferior stack and shipped over the chips to Yan.
Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen is another of the late registrants here in the High Roller to just take his seat.
As soon as he did, fellow Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden came over on a break from the Main Event. Johnny's making yet a little short over on the other side of the room and the needling began straight away.
"How can somebody come so close, so many times and always disappoint," Theo said. "We all want him to win it so badly, but he just never does."
Lodden truly is the league leader in heartbreak here on the EPT.
While he's cashed 21 times in 10 straight seasons on the tour for €1,267,562, he's made an astonishing 10 top 20 finishes, and three final tables without ever winning one.
