The screens once again have been updated and currently show 137 entries for Day 1 with half time not reached yet.
Among the new faces are also Dominik Panka, Connor Drinan and Rasmus Agerskov. The former two just saw the river of a board and Panka bet for 4,000 out of the small blind for half the pot. Drinan gave it some thought and then folded.
Emil Ekvardt had previously doubled up his short stack twice and now did so one more time through Thomas Muehloecker. On the three-way flop , Igor Yaroshevskyy checked from under the gun and Muehloecker bet 3,000 from the button. Ekvardt shoved for 13,150 and Yaroshevskyy folded, Muehloecker caleld after some consideration.

Any diamond except for the would have resulted in the seat open for Ekvardt, but instead the board filled up with the turn and the river.
Happy to be in mostly sunny Malta after a cold and rainy WSOP Europe in Berlin, Theo Jorgensen talked to PokerNews' Sarah Grant after winning the €1,000 + 100 No-Limit Hold'em Hyperturbo Bounty. Check out the video below:
Until the river of a board , a pot of around 26,000 chips had emerged and Andreas Christoforou bet 15,000 out of the big blind. Jake Cody was contemplating a decision and grabbed three T-5,000 chips in the cutoff seat, almost having them cross the virtual line for a call. Christoforou almost looked excited and Cody gave it some more thought before folding, it would have cost half his stack.
After the hand was over, Mike McDonald asked if there was any specific rule as to when the chips cross the line and Christoforou replied "it was my mistake, I got a bit too excited."
There have been 154 entries so far, of which 139 currently remain and seven of the participants opted to purchase a second bullet after running out of chips in the first attempt.
Benny Spindler raised to 1,400 from the cutoff and Brian Yoon defended his big blind to see the flop . Yoon checked and then called a continuation bet worth 1,600 by Spindler. Both checked the on the turn and Yoon checked the river as well. Spindler now bet 5,000 and that enforced a fold.
Next to Spindler is yet another very dangerous player in Mustapha Kanit. The Italian won two EPT High Roller titles already and also came third at the €25,000 High Roller Event of the World Series of Poker Europe a week ao as well.
Among those that won't return to the table after busting their second bullet were Lily Kiletto and Anton Astapau while the other players below still have the option to buy in again.
Canadian Mike McDonald's deep run in the EPT12 Malta Main Event ended earlier this afternoon with a 27th-place finish for €17,840.
That's only a couple grand short of two bullets here in the High Roller and McDonald has already fired the first. He's dipped down to 38,000 after a slow start, but if things continue trending that way and he goes broke, he should have no problem coming up with the remaining scratch.
He won the €25,000 + 750 High Roller here at EPT Malta for €498,575 less than a week ago and actually became the EPT's all-time money leader overnight with $6,228,104 in earnings. This, until Steve O'Dwyer passed him with a win in the second High Roller on the schedule here.
If all else fails, his friends might be able to help:
In a three-bet pot to the flop , Ivan Luca checked his option from the small blind and Michael Wang bet 4,300 from the cutoff. Luca called and the fell on the turn. Luca checked again and Wang bet 8,800 to receive yet another call. The river completed the board and Luca checked for the third time in a row, allowing Wang to fire a final barrel worth 24,000 with as much behind.
Luca glanced over at the stack of his opponent, raffled through his stack of T-5,000 chips and then sent his cards into the muck.
