Too Many Outs for Charania

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Mohsin Charania
Mohsin Charania

Talal Shakerchi opened under the gun for 14,000 and action folded rather quickly to Mohsin Charania in the small blind. He announced allin and Olivier Busquet folded his big blind, Shakerchi made the call.

Talal Shakerchi: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Mohsin Charania: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flop would come as good for Charania as they could come without making a pair: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Well, though Charania had lots of outs, and more than 60% to win by now, it wouldn't be enough. The {3-Spades} on the turn and {J-Spades} on the river were of no use to Charania and he made his exit.

"I could just see your face" said Busquet to Smith when Charania had already left, "like, that's gonna hurt when it misses!"

Colman Six-Bet Shoves on Selbst

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Colman opened from the hijack for 14,000 and Vanessa Selbst in the cutoff raised him to 37,000. It folded round to Colman who made a four-bet to 82,000.

Selbts now had a long think, riffling her chips slowly and methodically. Everyone waited to see what she would do. At last out came a five-bet of 133,000 total.

Colman instantly announced he was all in and Selbst just as quickly mucked her hand.

Haxton Takes Some Back

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} Isaac Haxton checked from the big blind and Gus Hansen bet 16,000. Haxton made the call and they went to the turn card {3-Diamonds}.

Haxton checked again and called a bet of 32,000 from Hansen. The river was the {9-Spades} and as soon as both players checked Haxton confidently flipped his {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flush cards over and Hansen mucked his cards.

Mercier Shoves on Schemion

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After Ole Schemion opened from the cutoff, Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier three-bet from the button. The blinds folded, Schemion called, and the flop fell {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Schemion checked, Mercier bet 39,000, and Schemion woke up with a check-raise to 92,000. Mercier wasted little time in moving all in for 402,000, and Schemion snap-folded.

Voulgaris Eliminated by Haxton

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Haralabos Voulgaris
Haralabos Voulgaris

Isaac Haxton raised it up to 16,000 from the hijack position. Two positions down it was Haralabos Voulgaris who shoved allin from the button. Both blinds folded, Haxton immediately called.

Haralabos Voulgaris: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Isaac Haxton: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

Voulgaris his hand was the favorite, but it was vulnerable for aces and kings. Haxton didn't hit on the {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}-flop, but the turn would be as good a card as it could come for the PokerStars Team Online Pro: {A-Diamonds}. The {10-Spades} on the river wasn't Voulgaris' last out, and the World's Top NBA Gambler hit the rail.

PCA finalist Yann Dion is still leading FPS Monaco as the event goes in to Day 2. With 206,300, the Day 1a chip leader is just 19,400 ahead of fellow Canadian Conor Shelly who finished Day 1b with 186,900. There are 389 players still in the running, from the 837 entries who entered the €1,100 event (247 on Day 1a and 590 on Day 1b).

The prize pool for the event is €811,890 with €150,00 for the winner and 111 players paid. Full prize pool details will be published after the start of Day 2.
