Talal Shakerchi raised to 4,000 in the cutoff and Scott Seiver defended his big blind. The pair shared a flop of and Seiver check-called a 6,500 Shakerchi c-bet. There was an unknown raise before Anton Allemann three-bet on the button to 10,200. Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier four-bet from the small blind to 22,500 and action folded back over to Allemann. He took his time, then called.
The flop came down and Mercier fired a bet of 16,500. After a bit of thought, Allemann made the call to see the turn.
Fourth street was the and Mercier bet 30,000. Allemann called again and left himself with 85,700 behind.
The river was the and Mercier took a moment to get a look at Allemann's stack. Then, he bet enough to put Allemann all in. Allemann quickly called with the for a straight. Mercier showed the , but it was the losing hand and he was knocked back to 136,700 in chips.
Isaac Haxton raised to 3,200 from under the gun and Philipp Gruissem called in the hijack seat. The flop was and both players checked. The turn was the and Haxton bet 13,000 whilst Gruissem called. On the river we saw the and Haxton check-folded to a 19,000 Gruissem bet.

Hand 1
We joined the action in a single raised pot on a flop of with Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier seated on the button and Gus Hansen in the big blind. Hansen led for 10,200 and ElkY made the call. On the turn we saw the and Hansen led once more. The bet was for 31,100 and ElkY's response was to move all-in prompting a swift fold from Hansen.
Hand 2
ElkY raised to 3,200 in the cutoff and both Hansen and Sam Trickett called in the blinds. The flop was and Hansen once again decided to take the betting lead when he put 6,500 over the line. Trickett folded but ElkY once again made the call. The turn and river were checked through and it was time for a showdown.
From the cutoff seat, Govert Metaal raised to 3,800. Dieter Albrecht called on the button and the flop came down . Metaal bet 4,000 and Albrecht raised to 12,000. After a minute, Metaal called.
The turn went check, check after the fell and the landed on the river. Again, both players checked.
First, Albrecht showed the for a missed flush draw that was now just ace high. Metaal showed the for a turned pair of tens after flopping an open-ender and won the pot.
On the next hand, Dan Shak raised to 4,100 from early position and Metaal called from the hijack seat. Albrecht called in the cutoff seat and Anatoly Gurtovoy called from the small blind.
The four players took a flop and action checked over to Metaal. He bet 11,000. Next in line was Albrecht and he fired in a raise to 26,500. Gurtovoy and Shak folded before action fell back on Metaal. He also folded and Albrecht won this one.
