Check-Raise from Shak

With 17,100 in the middle on the {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Dan Shak checked to Tobias Reinkemeier. Reinkemeier fired 10,000 and Shak check-raised to 25,000. After a minute, Reinkemeier folded and Shak won the pot to chip up towards 450,000.

Although many would consider Shak an amateur poker player, he has plenty of big buy-in accolades to his credit. Shak has numerous cashes in events with five-figure buy-ins, but we're not going to focus on that here. We're going to look at the ones with another zero tacked onto them.

In 2009, Shak took fourth in the Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge for A$200,000. A year later he won the event after defeating Phil Ivey heads up for the A$1,200,000 first-place prize. Earlier this year, Shak took second behind Team PokerStars Pro Viktor Blom in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller for $846,700.
